This 12" x 4" steel trailer wheel has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern and a 2.5" pilot diameter. Improved torque retention keeps wheel secure when mounted on your axle. Rust-resistant, 3-step powder coat finish. Valve stem is included.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish
This steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
Improved Torque Retention Technology
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our Taskmaster 12 inch by four inch, white, eight-spoke, steel trailer wheel. And this has a four-on-four bolt pattern. Now, this is a heavy-duty, sturdy wheel. It has the eight-spoke design with a nice, white finish to it. This wheel goes through a three-step process. So it starts with a zinc phosphate bath, and then it has an e-coat primer, and then a white powder coat.
Spinning this around, you can see that that powder coat covers the entire wheel. Now, this wheel does use the ITR technology, and what that means is it uses an improved torque retention, keeping your wheel more securely on your trailer. And they do that by having uncoated stud holes, which are also beveled just to give you a better clamp force retention. Now, this wheel also meets the SAE J1204 standards. There's also a valve stem included, and it has a metal valve stem.
What's not included, though, is the center cap. If you do want a center cap to complete your wheel, we have those right here at etrailer.com. The center cap size that you need is one that has a 2 1/2 inch diameter, which is the measurement of this pilot hole right here. Now, here's some measurements. Starting with the diameter of your wheel, you don't measure edge to edge, but rather inside to inside.
So showing you with my tape measure here, from inside to inside, it's going to be 12 inches in diameter. Now, the width is gonna be the same thing. It's inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. So this is a four inch wide wheel, measuring right over there. That's how we get the 12 inch by four inch measurement.
Now, what about the bolt pattern With this wheel, it's gonna be a four-on-four bolt pattern. And there's a trick to figuring out the bolt pattern of your wheel, although it is easier on even number bolt holes, like this one has four. So pick any one of the holes, and then measure from the center of that hole to directly across it. So from one hole to the other, we have four inches. So that makes it a four lug, four inch bolt pattern. So this will use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20. Now, the weight capacity on this wheel is going to be 1,100 pounds. That's it. Great product, but one of the three wheels has an edge dent and scraped edge finish which implies that it was subjected to rough handling prior to or during shipment. Noticed damage after opening box and removing first wheel. It appears the edge dent was oriented toward bottom of box with no added padding. Chipouts and scrapes can be repaired with touch up enamel. May need to return shipment to eTrailer. Note that I've experienced rough handling of UPS shipments on many occasions.

I spent considerable time looking for a rim that would match my ST225/75R15 Load Range E tires with a load rating of 2,830 lbs in a 15" X 6", 5 lug by 4.5". I found these rims on the etrailer site and ordered them even though some reviewers said the finish on the wheels was not good. I received them within 3 working days of my order. The rims are beautiful. The finish on the outside of the wheel rivals any modern car paint. I went through the trouble of putting each wheel, without a tire, on my static balancer and I was overjoyed to find all three of them to be in perfect balance. The wheels are obviously made of thicker steel and carry a DOT load rating of 2,830 lbs. as advertised. Perfect! My only suggestion is that the valve stems that came with the wheels have no documentation documenting their psi capacity. So, I had no choice but to also order a set of 80 psi valve stems for my 80 psi tires and cut off and throw away the stems that came with the wheels.

I bought this wheel to use as a spare for my car trailer. I mounted one of my old tires to it and had it balanced, there were no issues. The paint on the out side of the wheel looks nice and even with good coverage. The paint on the part inside the wheel had some thin spots which I guess is okay it's inside the tire now. The over all quality of the wheel seems very good. This will work perfectly for my needs.

etrailer came through, this was the only place I could find a 5x4.75" rim. Would have liked to have gotten a 14" but not a problem I can make up the difference on the tire dimension.

Not Happy!!!! I spoke with a male rep and shame on me did not get his name. He advised me how to measure the holes to determine the correct size. I did as advised and ended up with the wrong rims. I spoke with Nicole H today who was extremely helpful. She emailed the diagram to measure correctly and helped to order the correct size. She also advised me the person I spoke with did not put notes in the system so we may have to pay return shipping. Nicole stated she would put in a request however I may still have to pay the shipping fee.
Nicole H was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The person we spoke with originally should pay our shipping fee. The star rating is for the male I spoke with and not Nicole H.

Discrepancy on bolt circle measurement procedure resulted in rims not fitting. I removed the tires and remounted them on different wheels. I used the rims that didn’t fit the boat trailer as spares on another trailer with the matching bolt circle. Small problem solved. Had I not been able to demount / mount tires in house it would’ve been expensive

Paint was all chipped on both inner and outer lips and pin stripes smudged. Needed them asap for a 400 mile trip. I mean they’re wheels but how hard is it to paint a wheel.

nice affordable rim, but shipping and packaging is terrible, paint chips and small dents in bead every time i order rims from etrailer.
