This was a quick and easy way to mount a spare tire on my pwc trailer.

by:

Waste of money. It was advertised that it could work on 4and 5 lug wheels. Not only does it not fit, the lugs are are too small and don't match what the trailer uses. So lockable nuts won't fit either. It's just scrap metal as soon as I got it. There are photos where people got this to fit a 5 hole wheel, but I don't see how. I really am starting to think I was sent the wrong product. My trailer tires are ST205/75R15.

by:

Very economical way to securely mount my spare to a boat trailer! Very happy with the purchase and received fast shipping!

by:

Threaded portion of rods is a faction of an inch too short. I’ll need to put a block under the U-bolt so that the wheel and tire are pulled tight against my trailer frame.

by:

purchased tires on rims from etrailer. mounted them and made my older best tire the spare. easy to use bracket. when i have time i will cut studs shorter so that i am not in the rain on roadside for 1/2 unscrewing nuts(it's made this way to fit variety of applications) its easy to mount and strong. good service from etrailer(as usual)

by:

Works as expected

by:

Great fit and just the simple thing I needed to attach a spare tire to my small trailer.

by:

Matched up perfectly with my spare tire trailer combo- 13” spare on a sea doo move 2 aluminum trailer.

by:

Even though the lug nuts are shown in the picture, the product did not come with them.

This does come with the lug nuts and I am sorry that they are missing. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

by:

Had one nut missing when it arrived, but customer support quickly sent me out a whole new tire carrier. Very pleased with their customer service and the product I got. I will use them again. Thank you etrailer.

by:

Works great for mounting the spare tire on my utility trailer. Good company to do business with!

Came without nuts. I will go to the hardware store when I get to town.

Doesn't perfectly fit the side rails of my 8x10 ultility trailer, but works none the less. Holds tire tight to rails and can be used where ever you like. Inexpensive solution to getting your spare out of the way. I may cut off ends to keep them from protruding so far as seen in photos as it appears designed to work for different size wheels and trailer rails. This was recommended by etrailer.com and I'm happy with it.

by:

Great fit. I had the smaller trailer tires and wasn't sure if this would fit. It mated up perfect on the trailer and with the tire. Once installed, I trimmed the threaded section so that I could remove lug nuts with a lug wrench. Super product.

by:

Hooked this spare tire carrier up to my Stehl Tow Dolly in about 5 minutes. As usual, Etrailer had the right part, for the right price (cheap) and was delivered undamaged to the right place, quickly. Fits like a glove.

Had this spare tire carrier mounted to the to the tongue of my 2 wheeled tow dolly for about a year. The dolly sits outside, uncovered, in a very salty environment and hasnt shown any signs of rust, nor has it come loose. I do check the tightness before and after each use just as everyone should do. Its traveled to the Florida Keys from Pennsylvania with no issues. Would recommend it to others.

by:

Perfect for adding a spare tire to a utility trailer kit.

by:

Good fit and finish. Nuts and bolt threads all well made. I used this on 3" square tube, holding a 215/60-8 wheel & tire.

by:

Haven't put it on the trailer yet, but it looks like it will work. I like that I can put it anywhere rather than it be permanently mounted.

by:

Fit my new tires and wheels perfectly (13” rim with a 15-4.5” hole pattern).

by:

Great low cost solution to mount spare to my trailer. Exactly what I was looking for. Was able to bend it slightly to fit my hole pattern but was not difficult. Out of the box and mounted to my trailer in a matter of minutes.

by:

Fit my odd sized trailer okay. Had to use a wood block to shim it in the back but overall it's great for the price. I would Absolutley recommend it. Cheap and easy to install. Does the job. If you have expensive wheels I would get the locking lug style.

by:

It works pretty well for a cheap spare tire carrier. The biggest thing is to tighten the nuts evenly when mounting the tire on it so that the mount does not get crooked on the frame rail.

by:

I use this on my 7x14 ft utility trailer that has angle iron side rails. Product is well built and fits my 15 inch 5 lug rim perfect. The rails are 2 inches wide but I'd you turn the tire so mount is at an angle it works fine.

by:

perfect fit for my small boat trailer

by:

Absolutely wonderful service so far. Ordered 2 tires on rims and received them within a few days with free shipping. Both tires look brand new without any damage. I will definitely use etrailer.com for all my future part needs and wants. This is how business is supposed to be run. You take care of the customer and they will return. You do not see that much anymore. Thank you etrailer for giving me quality parts at a good price with superb service to back it up as well.

  • Will CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers # CE22007Z-11050-2 Fit 1-1/2-Inch Trailer Frame
We do not offer trailer-mount spare tire carriers with a narrower u-bolt than the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers, part # CE22007Z-11050-2, which has a u-bolt that is 3-1/16-inch wide. However, this part will still work on your 1-1/2-inch trailer frame. Since the tire and carrier both will be tightened down to your trailer frame with the two supplied lug nuts the trailer frame being smaller than the u-bolt will not matter. You will just want to position the u-bolt so that the...

  • Can CE Smith U-Bolt Spare Tire Carrier Hold Tire Below Trailer Tongue
Yes, you can use the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier # CE22007Z-11050-2 that you referenced facing down so that the tire mounts to the underside of your trailer tongue. The U-bolt is plenty strong enough to support the weight of the tire in this orientation as well. Just make sure you have the needed ground clearance for this position to work on your trailer. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.

  • Can the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier # CE22007Z-11050-2 Be Mounted Facing Down
Yes, you can install the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier # CE22007Z-11050-2 facing down on the underside of your trailer tongue. The U-bolt is just as strong in that direction as it would be in any other orientation. I would just be sure that you have enough ground clearance for the wheel in that position.

I'm not sure which video you're looking for, but I can just tell you that the easiest way to use the CE Smith Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers # CE22007Z-11050-2 is with the threads facing out. You could also install it so that the threads face up toward the sky and drop your spare tire onto it that way, but it's really up to you. Two adjacent bolt holes on a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern would be 2-5/8 apart, center to center while 2-11/32 would be just a bit further apart. Do you have the hub handy? Go ahead and check your measurement using the wheel studs on the hubs which might be easier to measure center to center. If 2 adjacent wheel studs are indeed 2-11/32 inches apart, then a 5 on 4-1/2 wheel won't fit as the measurement would be off enough that the wheels wouldn't fit correctly. I've linked to our help...

I don't think that spare tire carrier # CE27310G is going to work because the one u-bolt has that protrusion and you have very limited space.
