This adapter fit perfectly and allows me to use my Blue Ox Acclaim tow bar with a Roadmaster base plate. Thanx to all the good folks at etrailer for all their help..
Now both my 2018 Jeep Cherokee and my Miata are set up to tow. etrailer has been sup in answering any questions I had to make sure I got the correct parts. Kevin D worked with me and was great. Great Crossbar ! Had no issues with the product or installation.
Product looks robust, easy to install. One thing, cannot remove arms with adapter attached. Have to uninstall so arms are loose. This does not allow thread locker. probably the quick unit, (more money), would be more practical. Will work around it.
I've purchased from etrailer for many years. They are always great and this was no exception. After a little confusion with one rep I worked with another and have just received all I need for a new flat-tow package for my RV/Jeep. Meghan was able to help me figure out how to use my existing tow bar with an adapter, which saved me a good bit. I highly recommend etrailer!!!!

Just fine. I installed it and forgot it. However I do recommend using the same brand Roadmaster tow bar with this base plate not the Blue Ox tow bar! Believe it or not + I have found a flaw with the Blue Ox.
I am preparing to tow my 1993 Miata behind a motorhome. After some research I decided to rely on Roadmaster products because they manufactured base plates for the Miata. Initially I purchased a Roadmaster Tracker bar that uses a 2 inch ball to connect. Later I encountered a Blux Ox Aventa on Craigslist that I felt would be better because it has a receiver connection that cannot work lose on rough roads. To make that work I had to purchase the RM-033 adapter bar.
In retrospect I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon tow bar to avoid about $100 of adapters that I needed to make my current system operate. My first towing experience so lots of rookie errors at my expense. BTW, even with my very light Miata, using the Roadmaster LX base plates, the Falcon tow bar, safety cables and tow lights, the setup costs about $1000 and some states require a supplementary brake system that is really pricy. Love my 1993 Miata, which is probably now worth about a $1000, so I hope it appreciates all I am doing to tow it along on my trips.
E-trailer has provided excellent service for this and an earlier order for the Tracker tow bar. With the free shipping, the pricing is very fair.
Instructions were very good for the installation on my 2010 Honda CRV for both the baseplate and the blue ox adapter. Fit and finish were good. Product arrived as promised. Minimal tools were needed, but installation with the vehicle on the garage concrete floor was probably a little more tedious than that on a lift. I would say that you do need some mechanical talents to do this on your own. It was worth the monetary savings for me to install these products.
This adapter bar matches perfect from the Roadmaster tow brackets to the Blue Ox tow bar from the RV. I use this adapter on two different vehicle makes we flat tow.
Cathy was very helpful in finding the best product for my need. She took the time to go through all the possible tow bar adapters and find the one that worked best to tow my custom steel bumper Suzuki with the Dominator tow bar. I also saved 50% off the cost from the OEM price! I will definitely use etrailer again!
Ordered additional items for tow bar mounts. Carmel was very helpful. I couldn't figure out which items I need to go from Roadmaster to Blue Ox. She give me the part numbers after searching their data base and ordered what I needed. Order was sent right out and I received the items three days later.
This adapter fit my blue ox tow bar perfectly. I don't know about it's overall performance strength wise until I put a few thousand miles on it.
Excellent service, communication shipping, and fit to my application on my 2004 Jeep TJ Rubicon. Roadster base plate to a Demco towbar.
Shipping was fast. Only problem was some paint flaked off of the base plate before being installed. It's going to get dinged anyway so, touch up paint is expected.
