No-Drill Installation

These clamp-on tie-downs install quickly and easily, with no drilling or modification to your truck required. Because they're mounted in the bed instead of on the frame or body of your truck, you don't need any kind of fancy mechanical background to get this job done. You just need to slide the hold downs over the rails of your truck and clamp them down with T-bars and hex bolts.

HoldDown Side View

The fact that they simply clamp on means that you can remove these tie-downs when you're not hauling your camper, leaving no trace. Use the provided neoprene pads on the T-bolts and tie-downs where they will make contact with your truck to make sure no scratches or dents will be left behind either.

where to put camper tie downs

It's important that the tie-downs on your truck line up with the anchors on your camper at the correct angle to ensure a secure hold. Ideally the tie-downs should be on the outside of your camper's anchor points, but they can be on the inside as well, just as long as they're not lined up with each other.

Securing your Camper

Camper with TieDowns

To secure your camper to your truck, you'll also need a tie-down hardware package consisting of turnbuckles, S-hooks, and chains (TDHP - sold separately). This hardware attaches the anchors on your camper to the tie-downs on your truck to keep your camper safely mounted. Once you tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!), you'll be good to hit the road.

2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty

At the moment I have yet to install the tie-downs. However they arrives when etrailer stated and the boxes were in excellent condition. I expect to use them this weekend to pick up my new to me slide in truck camper.

by:

Delivery came early and the box had all the parts . I still have to install the tie downs but seem pretty straightforward process

by:

The parts are exactly what I ordered and they worked out, the instructions were easy to understand

by:

Very well constructed and heavy duty. Liked the idea of no drilling during install. Excellent fit and provided stability safety for upcoming family camping trips with our truck & camper. Would recommend these tie downs for anyone who owned a truck camper set up!

by:

I have not received this product I can’t say anything about product because I don’t have it this has been the longest shiping nightmare I’ve ever had Not to happy !!!!!

Ford F-350 Super Duty

Installed the Brophy Clamp on my 2022 F350, put the pop up camper in and drove 550 miles round trip. Worked great with no issues. Highly recommend this product and etrailer.com was easy to order, quick shipping and was a great experience with this company.

2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Fast delivery

by:

Nice brackets, easy installation. Only issue is that the bolt holes were drilled too close to the Weld joints making it too tight to use a socket and difficult to tighten down

by:

I installed these on my 2014 ford f150 (6.5' bed) and they went on without much trouble. I think where some folks are having trouble is with the bolts. The nut is intended to go on the back side and the square head should be inside the truck bed. Little bit hard to get the nut started but got them all on and with a 9/16" wrench they are tight and sturdy. My camper weighs a little over 1600 lbs. so these are a perfect solution to install in my truck.

Without knowing more information, the only reason why this would not fit your 2021 Ford Super Duty is if you have a board or step underneath your truck bed.

by:

Great camper tie-down. Easy to install, no drilling any holes in your truck.

by:

Excellent service. Got it to me quicker than described. Helped me work through the Covid shipping challenge.

by:

Should not be sold due to the thin wall box on newer Ford trucks

by:

Product purchased was as described w/good communications from the vendor. Shipping was fast, actually arrived early.

See what our Experts say about this Brophy Truck Camper Tie Downs

  • Camper Tie Downs For a 2021 Ford F-350
The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSWB do not have a weight rating since they do not support the camper's weight. The truck bed and frame handle the actual camper load with the tie downs there to secure the camper in your truck bed. You will also need the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs # TDHP to secure the camper to the tie downs, the # TDHP do have a 3,000 lb. capacity. To answer your second question, yes the tie downs are specific to your truck. The Brophy...

  • Recommended Camper Tie-Downs For A 2023 Ford F-350 With Deployable Running Boards
Unfortunately the deployable running boards are going to prevent the installation of TorkLift camper tie-downs so the only other option would be Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSAB. These tie-downs clamp to the inner lip of the bedrails and angle down along the body of the bed. Because of this you will want to do a bit of measuring beforehand to ensure that the tie-down won't touch the bed and scratch your paint. I've attached a diagram below so that you can take some measurements....

  • Best Camper Tie Downs For A 2022 Ford F350 Short Bed With AMP Research Powered Running Boards
Hello Zach. The TorkLift Tie Downs # TLF2022A and # TLF3008A will work with your 2022 Ford F-350 short bed but the front tie downs will not be compatible with the AMP Research Powered Running Boards as they will get in the way of each other. You would have to remove the running boards in order to install the Torklift front tie downs. The rear ones will fit fine as long as you have a factory installed hitch with an open ended crosstube. If you want to keep your running boards the best...

  • Recommended Camper Tie-Downs For A 2019 Ford F-350 With Wheel-To-Wheel Running Boards
The only camper tie-downs that wouldn't interfere with your running boards would be the Brophy Slide In Camper Tie-Downs # HSWB, which mount to the inner lip of the bedrails. You'll want to verify that these brackets will clear the body of the bed, DRW models typically stick out too far for the brackets to fit properly. To complete your setup you can use some turnbuckles like the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs # TDHP.

  • Why are Frame Mounted Camper Tie Downs for 2018 Ford F-250 More Expensive
Brophy has a stake pocket mounted tie down setup that fits your 2018 Ford F-250 short bed with the part # HSWB but the # HSSF you referenced is not listed as a fit. Stake pocket tie downs are more universal in the trucks they fit, are a simpler design, and not quite as secure as the frame mounted styles which is why the cost of them is lower. They work but in general people prefer the frame attachment style since it's a much more secure attachment as the frame of the truck is much stronger...

  • How to Find Which Slide-In Truck Camper Tire Downs Needed for 2019 Ford F250
According to CR Brophy, the camper tie down brackets you'd looked at, part # HSWB are specifically designed to fit the bed of a 2019 Ford F-250 and 350. There does indeed need to be 2 inches of available space under the lip of the truck bed side wall.
