This kits really nice, it features the lever action handles that make the turnbuckles quick and easy to operate. So when it's in this position that means that they're tight and in place and then to release tension all you've got to do is take the handle and lift it up to release. TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs - Turnbuckles - TLS9530 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Torklift FastGun Turnbuckles for frame mounted camper tie downs. These turn buckles secure your camper to the tie downs mounted on your truck. Now two additional turn buckles are required to secure all four corners of your camper. This part number comes with two. They have the lever action handles that make the turn buckles easy to operate, allows for a very fast and easy setup so if you have one of the secure points going over the fuel cap of the vehicle, this makes getting to that quickly and easily the next time you need to fuel up without having to do a lot of work to unscrew or remove a turn buckle from the vehicle and camper. It has a spring loaded design which helps to reduce stress on your tie down points so the spring loaded design is a very desirable feature with these products. Also, in the kit, you can set up a little O-ring so it has a spring tension indicator on both the driver's and passenger sides which allows for simple set up every time. Also, it's lockable for security. It does come with the pin and clip that can pass through here but you can replace the pins and clips with locks so it is lockable for security, keyed alike locks are sold separately and available at Etrailer.com.We're looking at a high end impact stainless steel construction.

TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs - Front Tie-Downs - TLD2126 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the TorkLift Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie-Downs for the front of your truck bed. This product fits certain years of the Ram and Dodge Ram trucks, so to insure or double check that it is a fit for your vehicle you can use the vehicle fit guide at eTrailer.com.Now these tie-downs provide the attachment points at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper. Rear tie-downs are sold separately and available at eTrailer.com. This is a frame mounted design, so it insures excellent handling. Securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep the setup from becoming too top-heavy.Also they're virtually undetectable when they're not in use. All you have to do is pull out this pin and clip and then the tie-down insert can be easily removed from the frame mounted receiver brackets when they're not in use, so again virtually undetectable. You do have two adjustment holes on there, so you can choose whichever one works best for your application.

Camper Tie-Downs Questions and Answers

  • Camper Tie Down Recommendations for a Chevy Silverado 2500
  • There are several camper tie downs that you could use depending on how you want them to mount. First, the Camper Tie Downs, # TDSF, that you have referenced will fit your truck and fit in the truck stake pockets. If you do not want something in the stake pockets, then I recommend going with Camper Hold Down, # HSSF, which wrap around the bed side. For either kit, use Camper Tie Down Hardware Package, # TDHP.

The tie downs wrap around the bed, not in the stake pockets, and are mounted inside the bed. They will not work with a slide-in bed liner. There is no weight capacity rating on the camper...

  • If the tube step on your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed is only under the cab of the truck and no part of it is attached beyond the back of the cab then you would look at the tie downs for models without a board or step under the truck bed and with a non-TorkLift aftermarket hitch. For the front you could then use # TLC2205. For the rear, # TLR3501. The rear tie downs will only work on aftermarket hitches that have side plates with at least a 4" x 4" footprint which seems to be...
