Expanded Carrying Capacity for Your RV

etrailer cargo carrier

No matter how big your RV is, you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).

Bumper Mount, Folding Design

etrailer cargo carrier

Most RVs don't have a hitch installed, and adding one just to carry extra gear isn't always ideal. This cargo carrier mounts directly to your 4" x 4" or 4-1/2" x 4" RV bumper, so you can haul generators, coolers, and other bulky items without modifying your setup.

etrailer cargo carrier

When you're not carrying gear, the carrier folds up against the back of your RV. Remove the snapper pins from each arm assembly, raise the rack toward the vehicle, and reinsert the pins through the upper holes in the mounting brackets. It stays tucked up when parked at a campsite, near a fence, or inside tighter storage spaces.

Easy Installation

etrailer cargo carrier

The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.

Expandable Width

Extension

If you outgrow the carrier later on, you can add extensions to increase its width. A single 24" extension will make the carrier 64" wide, or you can add 2 extensions to make the carrier 88" wide. To install the extension, place additional mounting brackets (sold separately) 24" or 48" apart on the bumper, unbolt the junction between the left and right side of the basket, and bolt the extension between them.

This cargo carrier was a very simple install and a very robust build. 3 of the 4 plastic end caps were damaged during shipment and not usable but other than that worth the $$$.

  • Is There a Way to Carry Generator at Rear of KZ Connect Camper
Hey Stan, KZ would be the authority on what the weight capacity of your bumper would be and if the 24x40 Cargo Carrier part # e99050 would work for you or not. We also have generator specific bumper carriers like the # MNT47ZR as well as more at the attached link on this page. Or we have hitch mounted generator carriers like the part # TLA7752 which would require a hitch installed on your frame with the part # 13703.

  • What Do I Need to Replace My Bumper on My 2021 Lance 1475 to Attach a 27 Gallon Waste Water Tank?
Hello Michael, Thanks for writing in. You’re not finding a 90 degree bracket because that style of connection isn’t used or recommended for your trailer. The rear wall plate on your Lance is not structural and is not designed to support cargo weight. Trying to tie a bumper into that plate would fail under the kind of load a 27 gallon waste tank creates. The correct solution is to mount the bumper directly to the frame, which is exactly how the Mount n Lock system is designed. For your...

  • Could etrailer Bumper Carrier e99050 Carry 220 lb Generator
Hey Matthew, the 24x40 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99050 that you referenced has a 500 lb capacity so it would easily handle the weight of a 220 lb generator. It would probably be a good idea to get the support brackets part # MO22FR but that depends on the weight capacity of the bumper on your RV.

  • Will Cummins Onan QG 2500i Onboard RV Generator Run AC on 2025 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1800BH
Hey Fred! It looks like your 2025 Micro Minnie 1800BH has a 13,500 Btu AC unit on it so the Cummins Onan QG 2500i # CM25ZR will be able to run it. However, you will have to run lines to it, and find a place to install it with proper ventilation. I wouldn't really go that route unless you're doing some serious camping all the time. If you only plan on occasional camping, I would stick with a standard generator like the 4,500-Watt Portable RV Generator # 333-0005. This uses propane and gasoline...

  • Can 2023 Lance 1875 Camper with I Beam Bumper Use etrailer Cargo Carrier
Hey Dan, so the etrailer bumper cargo carrier part # e99050 that you referenced is designed to attach to 4 inch or 4-1/2 inch square bumpers. If you have an I-beam crossmember that is 4 inch or 4-1/2 inch square I could see this working potentially but I would have to recommend you have it welded up so that it is boxed where you would want to attach this.

  • Solution for Installing trailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper When Brackets Won't Fit
Hi Roger; since you can't get the brackets around there altering or replacing your bumper is the only solution. Unfortunately, there is no adapter that would allow it to fit. You could also get creative and try to come up with a way to weld the # e99050 directly onto the bumper if you don't mind it being permanently attached. Outside of that, I would say your best option is to add a hitch like the # 13703 which fits frames 22" - 72" wide. Then you could use a hitch mounted cargo carrier...

If it sticks out at all or is even with the back of the trailer there is an option with a cargo carrier that attaches directly to the bumper (assuming it is a 4" x 4" and 4-1/2" x 4" bumper): - 24x40 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99050 - 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier...

Hi Thomas; I'm sorry to say that the 24" extension # e99052 is the only one available at this time. I see you went ahead and grabbed the # e99049 which is only 60" long so I'm assuming that 4" difference is enough to clear. That is the only real alternative to the extension to gain more space over the 24x40 # e99050. What are you using the cargo carrier for?

Hello Cj; the 24x40 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99050 is designed to fit 4" tall x 4" wide and 4-1/2" tall x 4" wide RV bumpers. We don't have a way of knowing what size bumper you have so you will need to measure to see if it fits. It is 40" wide so I would also measure to see if you have enough open space on the back for it to fold up. The only thing that would really get in the way is the ladder or the spare tire assuming you have those on the rear.

With a ladder on the back of your RV it is unlikely you will still be able to fold up the 24 x 84 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumpers # e96ZR. Reason why is when the carrier folds up it takes up all the space of the bumper, so unless your bumper protrudes out past where the ladder is you won't be able to.
