Updated 05/14/2026 | Published 05/12/2026

Question:

I have a 2022 Forrest River 19 6 no boundaries. I want to install your e99050 rack on the rear bumper. What do I need to do to reinforce the bumper to accommodate the weight capacity of this rack? Thanks

Hey Dennis, typically we recommend the Mount N Lock Safety Struts part # MO22FR to help brace up the rear of the camper to use the 24x40 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99050 that you referenced. What are you planning on carrying with this carrier?

I purchased the 20X40 folding cargo rack as well as the reinforcement straps for my off road trailer. After positioning the rack and adding the reinforcement straps I was off for multiple off road adventures in many western states. The cargo rack on the factory 4” square bumper with a predator 3500 generator which weighs 102lbs. Periodically checking everything during the whole adventure on and off road I found the entire system sturdy, without any issues and did what I needed it to do. No cracks, no loose clamps and nothing of any sort of concerns. Well built, well engineered and well worth the money.

After a flawless assembly, I mounted it on my Forest River Mini-Lite bumper without any difficulties or complications. I did not opt to utilize the additional support brackets that came with the rack as the rack is only for a small light weight generator unit.
