Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we can take a look at this replacement key fob for the Power Tracks Retractable Tonneau Covers that have the serial number 1701 or higher. Now this part here is gonna replace the key fob for your Retrax Power Tracks Retractable Tonneau Cover. If you notice on the key fob, it has three buttons. The top one is the star button, that'd be for the light or for pairing this up to your tonneau cover, the C will be for close and the O will be for open. Now as we mentioned, this is designed to work with the Retrax Powered Retractable Tonneau Covers with a serial number of 1701 or higher.

And just to give you some help, that serial number label is located under the cover next to the lock assembly on the tailgate extrusion and the serial number is either eight to 14 digits and it may or may not include a letter in it. I popped up an insert just just to show you what we're talking about there. But that's gonna do it for a look at this replacement key fob for the Power Tracks Retractable Tonneau Covers.

It might David but I have no way of knowing for sure without that serial number. The Replacement Key Fob item # RTX36TR matches up with covers that have a serial number of 1701 or higher. There's no other way to identify if this is the one you need. I am not seeing an option to buy one with a higher serial number so more likely than not since you have a 2020 Ram 2500 this is the one you need. Again, there's no way to confirm. Need Replacement Key Fob For 2017 Ford Raptor With Retrax Powered Tonneau Cover
Hey Ian, thanks for reaching out. Without the serial number there is no way to know for sure which fob will work for your cover. The Replacement Key Fob item # RTX36TR matches up with covers that have a serial number of 1701 or higher. It doesn't look like we offer one for a cover with a higher serial number. If your cover was originally purchased in 2017 it should have a higher serial number but there is no way to absolutely confirm this aside from getting the fob and giving it a try.

Hello Lane, I reached out to my contact at Retrax, he informed me that the receiver that you have has been discontinued so you would not be able to get just the Replacement Key Fob # RTX36TR. Instead you will need to get a new power lock assembly. I am in the process of getting this part added to our site.
