Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna talk about that Two Bike Add-On for the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack. And this is gonna be an easy way to make your two bike rack into a four bike rack. Let's take a closer look at it. What's great about this add-on is it's gonna work with any of the Sport Rider SE Bike Racks. So today we have the e-bike version, but it's still gonna work with your fat bike or standard bike rack. It's gonna be a pretty straightforward and easy install.
All we have to do is remove this end cap to begin with, and then you're just gonna remove a screw at the bottom. And once you've removed that screw, you can pull this off just sliding your add-on into the existing shank and pushing it into place. And now we're just gonna put our included pin through here. It goes on the other side, and we're gonna put that safety clip through the hole at the very end of that pin. And when everything is secure, you can load up your four bikes.
Something to keep in mind when you do add this add-on, it's gonna drop your weight capacity per bike to 50 pounds each. So when you do have your heavy e-bikes or heavier bikes on, definitely keep that in mind. But other than that, we're gonna have all the same features as our bike rack. We're still gonna have those padded cradles, and those lock cores on the cradles themselves too. And our mass is still gonna have the ability to fall down and lock into place.
And along with that, our cradles for our tires are still gonna have the ability to adjust down the stray to accommodate wider ranges of wheel bases. Parameters is gonna add to the end of your bike rack. Going to the very end of it to the back of this cradle, that's gonna be a little bit over 22 inches. So that's something definitely to keep in mind when you are parking it, maybe in your garage or when you fold it up, it might interfere with more things like your backup camera or your back window. Overall, this can be a great addition to your bike rack.
Like I said earlier, it's gonna be a great option for you if your family is expanding, or you have more friends that want to ride with you. It's gonna be a much better investment rather than buying a new bike rack that can accommodate four bikes when you can just buy this add-on to give you that extra space. I purchased this add on to my E-bike rack. I now have the ability to haul 2 E-bikes and 2- regular bikes. The ratings are 160# for the E-bikes and 40 # for the other bikes for a total of 200# max. Hollywood does not publish this as an option. The rack is very sturdy just like the base. Installing the 3rd bike on the rack is a little tricky. It helped to lower the vertical bar during install. I'm impressed with the quality.

Very happy with purchase! After buying 2 e-bikes our old rack couldn't handle the weight. So we bought this with the second extended rack behind so we can bring our kids bikes as well. Very easy to use. Good quality, can see it last a very long time. Also shipping was very fast :)
the extension is perfect for my existing 2 bike rack. I still need to test the durability but i am sure it will stand up to expectations. Also i like the improved design for locking the bikes for quick stop. not sure it will prevent from serious thieves but definitely better then nothing.
I have owned the Hollywood 2 bike setup for several years now and have loved using it, from the ease of loading and unloading bikes, and maneuvering the carrier in order to get into the bed of my truck. I was in need of carrying two additional bikes as we are going to Florida for about two months and wanted to bring it all...road, mountain, and cross bikes. Simple decision to purchase the add-on versus a whole new rack set up, especially now that the rack has the key lock system for locking out the frame hooks. I just wish I could order those locks for my original setup, but I don't believe they will work due to the upright design difference between the older and newer models.
I had to carry four bikes--three with extra long wheelbases--Rans crank-forward bikes. The extension is built as well as the rack that it attaches to. Very secure.
Poor design on the hitch tensioner reason being it's still loose and rattles and it doesn't folds up like other Hollywood models that helps for room no reflective strips or advance warning reflectors kinda of a trip hazard it's like going to the gym using it without leaving on the vehicle it slightly sags if I could return it I would love to and pay the extra for something better I'm not satisfied with this purchase unfortunately
