The EcoHitch Invisi trailer hitch is designed to be completely out of sight. The hitch cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind the body of your vehicle. No drilling or welding is required. The receiver portion of the hitch will sit just behind the factory knockout panel in your bumper. Just pop the panel off to tow and put it back on again for a from-the-factory look when you're done using the hitch.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will stand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. No issues installing this hitch. Fit my 2025 Model Y Performance (Oct 2024). Space inside bumper is tight and shallow for securing pin. Inside diameter of receiver is spot on. No slop!

When searching for an aftermarket hitch for my 2022 Tesla Model Y, I noticed several less expensive options, but this is the most well constructed option if safety matters to you. All of the other (cheaper) hitches for the model Y will replace the OEM bumper impact beam. The EcoHitch allows for the mounting of the arched bumper beam above it for added precaution. Do your self a favor and spend more up front on a safe hitch vs. later when an accident happens and your impact beam is not present!
Best aftermarket hitch for your Tesla. Its greatest feature is that it allows retention of the energy-absorbing aluminum beam for rear end collisions. Well made; fit flawlessly.

Hitch has been great so far after a year. I also installed a Tekonsha 118875 trailer hitch wiring harness which works great.
All the parts and clear directions.
Very happy with the trailer hitch, installed very easy and works well!
Awesome hitch installed myself. Need impact drill and good socket set. Works great for bike rack.

After a year product is still working great. Buy a hitch extender and just leave that on there so you don’t need to mess with the pin in the tight space.
This Model Y was an easier installation than the Model 3 hitch I installed a year ago. The Model 3 hitch had a very slick, professional video that took me step by step through the job but the included instructions for this we’re clear and had pictures that were extremely helpful. I think I’ve bought bike racks, trailer parts, hitches and lights from e-trailer for maybe 10 years and am always impressed. (My son helped — took the lead — on both hitch installations. ) I think anyone who has decent organizational skills and a torque wrench set could do this installation. I was going to take pictures but anyone with a Tesla knows that the phone works as the key and the car was confused.
I am amazed at how straightforward the install process was on my 2022 Model Y Performance, even without a lift. I chose this over other hitches that don’t reuse the rear crashbar. I found the 2021 Model Y video a little bit more helpful than the 2020 video in the listing. Took about 2 hours to install, a little longer with my neighbors all asking what I was doing to our brand new Tesla. Just take your time and don’t rush, and you’ll remember to plug everything back in properly and you won’t forget the two bumper screws under the taillights. Would 100% buy again.

We purchased this trailer hitch in January 2022 and had it installed on our Tesla Model Y by the Professional Trailer company in Tucson, AZ in early February 2022. We use the hitch to mount a bicycle rack. We are very happy with the hitch and installation.
I received the tow hitch today, but I found that the packaging was damaged. Additionally, it is clearly not new, as there are many signs of installation and use, as well as wear and tear. There are many areas with chipped paint, and the handle on the cover is also bent.

Yikes, I am sorry that it arrived looking like that. We got two options for you. Either we can get a replacement sent out to you. Or we can issue a paint credit and you can get some rustoleum type of paint to cover up all the chips and scrapes. As for the bend, hitches are made with a flexible metal to prevent any stress fractures while the hitch is attached to the vehicle. All you need to do is us a step and bend it back straight. I have a link below with all of this information, if you would prefer to not have to set up a replacement to ship out. Just let me know.
2.5 hrs to install, requires push pin remover and replacement pins for Tesla, recommend plastic trim tools for disassembly, decent instructions
Excellent quality and fit on my '22 Tesla model Y. And super fast shipping. The installation video was pretty good although did not give enough detail on how to remove the tail-lights which are held on by very strong clips, in addition to the threaded nuts. I had to track down other resources to figure out that part.
Way cheaper than the Tesla option, even including installation. We got this delivered and installed one week before our first camping trip with the Y and it worked great. We used a cargo carrier and lashed a few boxes of equipment to it. Range was unaffected and we had a great trip!
I placed an order back in early June and my order was delayed due to no stock. Gwendolyn Y Was amazing keeping up to date on my order. She took the time to send me multiple emails and tracking info when my order shipped. I really appreciate your great customer service ??
I was fortunate enough to have a Tesla collision center install this for me, while they were already replacing my rear bumper, everything was already disassembled ! They indicated it was a bit tricky, but they got in on successfully. 2020 Tesla Y.

Love this hitch for my Model Y! It’s worked perfectly. I DIY’ed the install and it was a little intense but the step-by-step video E-Trailer provided was priceless. I wouldn’t have tried it myself without the video
Very good aftermarket hitch for my Tesla. Install was east and this hitch continues to work great. The cover works but never really seats back exactly.

A year in and no problems with Ecohitch. On the Tesla its pretty concealed and out of the weather but when needed to haul my small trailer it works perfectly.
