This fully welded, corrosion-resistant vehicle trailer hitch receiver is perfect for your light-duty towing needs. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. Drawbar sold separately.

Specs:
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

The hitch was fairly easy to install. The most difficult was drilling the 2 holes.
I did run into a slight problem when I installed my bike rack. The bike rack would only slide in so far and stop. I eventually found that when the pin hole was drilled there was a burr left behind in the hole and the paint (powder coating) made it worse. I had to file the paint and burr down to install my bike rack. I works great now but I am worried about the paint I removed and how bad corrosion is going to affect it.
I installed the hitch two days ago and as I'm not a "professional installer", it took me about 4 hours to install. I can see a professional installer completing this in well under an hour though. I'm quite competent in metal working - just being very careful that I installed it correctly - double checking everything.
The hitch is well made: super sturdy, thick walled steel tubing, good welds all around. I used it the same day to transport two MTBs for a ride that evening (drove ~30 minutes up into Palo Alto hills) on paved roads - worked great!
Here is a list of things that would make installing the hitch easier for me:
1) photos of exactly how the hitch is installed: I had to figure out that hitch fits under the plastic "bumper" and that's why two plastic "rivets" had to be removed. Also used two existing holes in the frame to install ... but NOT two additional holes that are in the frame further forward. That confused me until I tried to "test fit" the hitch and realized why I had to drill two additional holes closer to the rear bumper. Drilling holes could be entirely avoided with a slight different design that used longer "arms" to reach all 4 existing holes.
2) Better description of how to remove the plastic center part of the "bumper": removing the two T15 screws was easy...but it wasn't obvious how the other side of the removable plastic piece was attached to the main bumper. I finally figured out it was "hooks" that clip in and I could reach in to slightly bend those to release the latching effect that held them in place.
3) template of where to drill the holes in the frame of the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV. I could have made my own template but wasn't sure about the "width" (between the two rails). I "installed" (finger tight using existing two holes) the hitch once to mark where the two additional holes should go, removed the hitch, drilled the holes, and then was done 15-20 minutes later with the re-install (including torquing the nuts to 50 ftlbs).
4) As a 100kg athletic male, I did this by myself. But I strongly recommend doing this with a friend - pretty much anyone else helping would have made this a lot easier/faster.
The provided wires to lead the bolts + backing plate through the mounting holes were super helpful - couldn't have installed without those.
Install was relatively easy, but was a little apprehensive about drilling into the frame. In the end no issues and hitch works great with my bike carrier.
East to install. Well built and a perfect fit.
Easy to install. Their video warns you that the hitch may hang low and it does so that's why I rated it at 3 stars. I know with the 2023 Chevy Bolt they changed the read bumper which has a light in it and restricts mounting the hitch higher and from using a 2" hitch.
Installed on a Chevy Bolt, so it’s not taking any crazy loads, but it was been working fine for bike racks and very lightly loaded trailers ( 700# 16’ sailboat and trailer for 3 miles to launch) I’m not asking for much from it,, and it seems to do just fine.
Fits great on our 2022 Chevy Bolt! It was a little tricky to install with one person and no lift (ended up using block to hold one side while I marked the one needed drill hole), but am very happy with the finished product. You have to remove one small access panel under the bumper as opposed to cutting a hole like the older versions of the Chevy Bolt Draw-Tite hitch. Seems like an upgrade from my POV.
Easy to install, even with the drilling. Pretty strong.
