Constructed of tough, weatherproof extruded aluminum, the Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator will give you years of trailer-stopping performance. The actuator installs on your trailer, then splices into its wiring and connects to its hydraulic brake line. Reacting to electric signals sent from your in-cab electric brake controller when you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, the Hydrastar applies pressure to the hydraulic system, thus activating the trailer's brakes. You get responsive hydraulic braking, which you control conveniently from inside your vehicle with your electric brake controller. The Hydrastar actuator meets all Department of Transportation regulations and complies with CFR-393 federal braking requirements.

Not all electric brake controllers work with this hydraulic brake actuator. See the following table to determine compatibility with common models of electric brake controllers. Certain models require the Hydrastar control adapter module (HBA-CAM; sold separately) to work with the Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator. For best performance, it is recommended that you use an aftermarket electric brake controller rather than an OEM factory-installed controller.

I can now stop with confidence thanks to hydraulic disc brakes I installed that are activated by a Hydrastar electric-hydraulic actuator. I can almost stop as quickly with the trailer as without the trailer.

by:

These are the pics I took when I was done. Took two days to do but we'll worth it. I took pics after first load and now it feels good to actually stop with out wondering if the magnets were going to fail. I appreciate the fast shipping . The only thing I had to pick up was 25 feet of brake line,15 feet was not going to be anough . Other then this. I love it. Thank you very much and God bless

by:

Really like the disc brake conversion I did on my wolfpack toyhauler. Went with 8 lug hubs and wheels at the same time.

by:

Installed on my 2009 Keystone Fuzion FZ302. I was very impressed by the fit and finish. What a difference in braking!! I don't think I will ever own a trailer with electric drums again. I was able to install all four in about 6 hours. This was taking my time to ensure all clearances were exact. The only thing I ran into was the sticky weights on my 16" wheels just touched the caliber. I had the wheels rebalanced with clip weights on the inside and we are now all good.

by:

Great customer service Madison did a great job for me

by:

all products were correct. Thanks

by:

Absolutely amazing. All the precision control of electric brakes with the advantages of hydraulic disc brakes. It was a relatively straight forward installation. I paired the Hydrastar actuater with Kodiac 4 wheel disc brakes. My boat and trailer weigh about 9,500 pounds. I've never had braking in a trailer this good before. I actually had to turn the sensitivity down on the cab controller. Totally worth it. I highly recommend the Hydrastar actuater, especially when paired with Kodiac 4 wheel disc brakes.

by:

Quality parts kit worked well.

by:

Great Product, I installed a four disc brake system in one afternoon and the pump works great. Now my 40ft. trailer stops my truck.

by:

As of now I'm very excited to put this new product on my trailer.

by:

Still working like great no problems

by:

very easy to install , well build . But need to by extra fluid lines, 40 feet trailer will need more fluid line.

by:

In the video the last box is the one with the hydraulic pump, the only one that had no damage because it was well packed, good job

by:

Pretty easy installation

by:

Installation went easy after watching their installation video brake lines were easy to install had to purchase extra fittings (purchased through E TRAILER) to make it fit the way the way needed

by:

One year in and still no problems and functioning great.

by:

  • Disc Brake Upgrade Kit For 2021 Vanleigh Vilano 5TH Wheel Camper With 7,000LB Axles
It appears that the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit # HSE7K-T1 is the correct kit for your 2021 Vanleigh Vilano 320GK. To verify this you can find the axle serial numbers and send that information to me so I can verify all the components are correct. Otherwise you can disassemble one of your hubs to verify your spindle measurements. For the absolutely best performance and reliability you can't beat the HydraStar electric over hydraulic actuators. We have found that they are the most reliable, react the fastest and just in general work the best. For just the actuator you would want part # HBA16 but if you wanted a kit that has brake lines and a breakaway kit you would want the part # CAR-HBA16-2. Then for your hubs and rotors # K2HR35D. Hey Adam, We can definitely get you set up to convert your 2011 Keystone Montana 346LBQ 5th wheel trailer from drum to disc brakes. You'll need a hub and rotor kit, so what you'll need is the following: - Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD66FR Since you're moving to disc, I assume you're going to an electric-over-hydraulic set up for your 5th wheel. We do have a kit with the rest of the needed parts for that if you need them, the Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes...

I contacted Lippert with the serial number from you axle and based off what they told me the the correct brake kit is the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR712D which is for 7,000 lb axles and has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern for your wheels. Then for a disc brake kit you'd want the part # K2HR712D which is a 7k kit that will fit your Lippert 7k axles well. You will also need the bearings part # 25580 and # 14125A for each hub and then seals too as part # RG06-070. This is a Dacromet coated setup which will fight corrosion well.
