There is no way to replace just the key on Valterra electric cable hatches. You will have to swap out the lock core, which includes two new keys. Confirm your hatch uses a replaceable core before ordering parts.
The door itself isn't designed to come off. The whole front-facing part of the hatch can detach from the rest of the assembly, so you can replace that without pulling the entire unit and redoing the seal. When working with the latches and hinge pins, handle gently—some have reported fragile tabs or flimsy pins.
