Lippert RV Water Pump for smooth, steady flow
Smooth water delivery comes easy with a Lippert RV water pump. Pick a 12V DC setup with 3.3 gpm, an 8 amp max draw, and a 5 on/10 off duty cycle, with some models operating at 50 psi and shutting off around 50-55 psi, or choose an AC option to match your power source. Select pumps include a built-in strainer and check valve, and you can quiet vibration with foam pipe insulation or a rubber pad under the mount.
Reinstall the rubber washers between the fittings and the pump. Use flexible reinforced hose with hose clamps on barbed fittings, and Sharkbite-style fittings can help with replacement fitting leaks. After wiring (two wire nuts were used on one install), run the pump and inspect around the pressure switch and fittings for drips.
Noise is often vibration from the water lines rather than the pump. Cover the lines with foam pipe insulation to help silence vibration. Add a layer of rubber under the mounting area to help dampen vibration between the pump and the floor.
Use flexible pipe or tubing that is a minimum of 1/2" inner diameter reinforced hose. Secure the lines to the barbed fittings with hose clamps. This helps keep connections tight during operation.
