RV Sinks with double, rectangular basins
A double sink makes dish duty smoother by separating wash and rinse. The rectangular sink shape helps match common RV cutouts for an easier swap. Measure your cutout and flange before ordering; some installs may need light trimming or drain tweaks, and undermount setups can require separate hardware.
Yes—rectangular double sinks are used as undermount or drop-in. Some come with mounting brackets for drop-in but not undermount, so verify included hardware if you plan to undermount. For drop-in, secure with brackets or a bead of silicone around the edge; remember this creates a small lip on the countertop.
Match the rectangular double sink to a cutout that's smaller than the sink flange. Generally, you want the hole to be at least 3/4" smaller than the sink flange itself. If your old under-hung cutout is odd-sized, be ready to trim the opening. If the sink is narrower than your cutout, you may end up with a gap that needs to be filled or covered.
Stainless is a solid pick for a rectangular double sink. It's been called awesome, very easy to install, and a nice upgrade over original sinks. Some replaced white plastic that easily got stained with stainless for a better look. If weight matters, note there are lightweight plastic options, but they can feel less sturdy.
Expect some drain work when switching to a rectangular double sink. Plan to adjust drain plumbing to accommodate the two drains. If your new sink is a little shallower, you may need a drain pipe extension. Dry-fit everything before sealing to confirm trap alignment and tailpiece length.
