RV Sinks with Double Sink versatility
Two basins keep wash and rinse separate in a compact galley. Choose drop-in or undermount to match your countertop, and check your cutout and flange sizes—some installs may need a little trimming or drain tweaks for the double drains. Options range from stainless steel to lightweight plastic so you can balance durability and weight.
Yes, but check the included hardware. Some sinks were advertised as undermount yet only came with drop-in brackets, so undermount hardware had to be sourced. Drop-in installs were very easy—set it in and seal with silicone around the edge. If an old under-hung couldn't be bolted back up, upgrading to a drop-in worked well.
Plan on modifying the drain. Swapping to a double bowl meant adjusting plumbing to accommodate the double drains. If the new sink is a little shallower, an extension on the drain pipe may be needed. Dry-fit first to check trap alignment and clearance before sealing the sink in place.
Stainless steel has been a solid upgrade and was very easy to install. It replaced white plastic that stained and wouldn't come clean. Plastic options can be lightweight, which some liked, but note they may feel lighter than stainless. Choose based on the look you want and how you use your sink day to day.
It will if the flange fully covers your opening. Generally, you want the hole to be at least 3/4" smaller than the sink flange. Measure your cutout carefully and note corner shape. Be ready to trim the opening if needed, as some installs required trimming. If your previous sink was under-hung, plan on adjusting the fit and the drain plumbing.
