Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting
The rack is sturdy for 3-5 bikes and only for 3-5 uses. The purpose of the screwed in pin (pic attached) is to eliminate rack swing but it got stripped after few bumps on the road and caused the rack to swing front and back. There’s no way I can avoid bumps on the road unless you drive 10 mph on highway. There’s no way a tiny pin can hold 5 bikes weights load including the rack! I’m not the only one that has this issue so this must be a flaw on the rack. So I called Curt manufacturer because it’s still under only ONE year warranty. They did send me a new shank but If your bike rack swings after 3-5 uses, will you use it? I won’t. You might get away to fix the swing by getting a U clamp but …
About product: comes as advertised and truly holds 5 bikes. solid quality. has a threaded pin when attaching to the hitch and an extra pin by the joint to reduce wobbling. there's still a bit of swaying, but performed very well on the road. the only disappointment is that no locking mechanism was included to secure the bike rack (minus 1 star). there are 2 points where the rack has to be secured to avoid potential theft. at hitch and at the joint. you'd need a threaded locking pin and a normal locking pin, which gets pricey. i used 2 luggage locks that fit through the pin holes instead. About service: etrailer delivered this fast and without hiccups. great follow-up service to ensure that i am all set.

Yakima RidgeBack 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
The rack was very easy to install. Like anything you do for the first time, the next time would be much easier. Could do 5 or 6 in the time that the first install required. The bike lock was also an easy installation. The two make a nice unit.
The rack arrived fully assembled and the additional HandCuff Cable Lock was securely packed in the same carton. The installation of the Cable Lock was very simple (watch the Etrailer video concerning the lock -- made things very clear though the printed instruction were easy enough to follow). Installing the rack on my 2017 Ford Edge was extremely simple (again, watch the Etrailer video). The rack slid easily into the hitch and tightened up very snugly. I have not used the bike rack yet for transport, but it appears very sturdy and the clips holding the bike in place are very secure. Etrailer customer service was exceptional and I was very surprised to see the cable lock arrive with the rack since I was originally told it was on backorder.

Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gray
The Kuat rack was easy to assemble and has performed very well. The bikes were easy to load and unload and stable on rough roads. The rack looks good folded on the back of my Traverse and folded down allowed me to access golf clubs. I recommend this rack.
I just want to affirm last year’s comments. The rack is great.
I would have given 10 stars to Kuat for this product if possible! The included assembly instructions were not the best but I watched a couple online videos and was able to assemble and install on my Outback in 45 minutes or less! Ingenious how they used the box for easy assembly and the tools were awesome (not cheap metal cutouts that I've gotten before). I am amazed how light yet how solid the rack is. I did a test drive with our 2 Beach Cruisers on it and they barely budged. GREAT product and one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Since purchasing our Kuat bike rack from etrailer a year ago my lovely wife and I have made several trips from the NC mountains to the coast with our Beach Crusiers in tow. At 68 I’m no spring chicken anymore and the Kuat rack never fails to amaze me at how easy it is to load our bikes on and off. And I’m so relieved when I look in my rear view mirror and see our bikes barley moving as we wind down the road! And the rack still looks like the day I got it! Thanks etrailer & Kuat!

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Outstanding product and worth the money. Unpacked this, assembled easily, and loaded it up for 1000 mile roundtrip the next day on our 2013 Chevy Traverse. Very secure and stable - no noise or rattles - everything is snug - excellent quality. Locking hitch pin and locking cable included for great security. And kudos to Etrailer - I waited until the last minute - paid for 2 day shipping and got it in about 28 hours - great service! I will be ordering the 2 bike version for my son to replace the cheap noisy one that he has.
We've used this bike rack with our '14 Sienna for over a year now and it works wonderfully. I especially appreciate the way the rack folds against the back of the van when not in use. After many hours of research before making this purchase, I could not be more happy with this rack.
Still fantastic!

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting
The bike rack is great. It was easy to put together, and it is very silent when driving around, with or without bikes on it. The fold-away feature is great for getting into the back of my car without taking the hitch off. Despite the moving parts it doesn’t rattle or shake. The rubber straps are nice to use, much easier than plastic straps or metal clamps. See the photo below of it installed on my 2016 Subaru Outback; license plate edited out. Highly recommended.
Took the bike rack off the pedestal and welded a receiver onto the pedestal. Then put a receiver cargo rack into the receiver. This setup is then mounted into the receiver hitch in the back of my 20 ft RV motor home. Worked great. My stuff in the cargo rack is off the road, I can still parallel park the RV in city parking spaces, backing up is a little easier because I don’t have to worry as much about the cargo rack hitting something. Anybody need an additional rack for the bikes.

The rack was very easy to install. Like anything you do for the first time, the next time would be much easier. Could do 5 or 6 in the time that the first install required. The bike lock was also an easy installation. The two make a nice unit.
It’s relatively heavy but super easy to install and use. No rattles from hitch or bike areas. Red Yakima stickers on the vertical beam are low quality, not firmly attached, and I expect them to peal off. Otherwise, very happy with the rack.

Rola TX-104 4-Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting
I like this bike rack, I’ve used it a few times and it does the job it’s intended to do. Installing and removing is easy. I use it casually I take the family to the park or beach and we want to take our bikes out, the lock feature is a lifesaver. Would definitely recommend
Decent 4-bike rack for the price. Stable side-to-side with the screw-in hitch pin (2 inch receiver version). Gets some fore-aft rocking over bumps at speed (inherent to the tilting design). Bikes need bungee cords to keep them from swinging (typical for this style of rack). I used this with two bikes, and really struggle to see how four full-size bikes could be added. Maybe if seats were removed? I added bumpers and some padding for the vertical post, and will probably relocate the retainer pin lanyard so the rack can be completely collapsed for storage. A few design improvements for 5 star rating would be: 1 - Add some bumpers for the fully lowered position, 2 -Add some padding on the vertical post for bike contact or accidental vehicle hatch lifting when in the raised position, 3 - Mount the retainer pin lanyard to one of the through-bolts or move the lanyard hole - collapsing this rack chews up the retaining lanyard. etrailer.com service was great - well packaged, and quickly shipped!

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This bike rack is exactly what I was looking for. It is heavy duty, but not too heavy to lift & carry when putting it on our vehicle or camper. I feel that our bikes are very safe and will get to where ever we are going, no matter the distance. Super easy to load and lock down and easy to fold down for getting things out of the Traverse. My wife likes it much better than our old "hanging" rack and can take the bikes off with ease. Great product!
This bike rack was easy to assemble with clear instructions. It holds the bicycles securely. I have a vehicle with a rear lift gate. Once the bicycle is removed, the rack can me repositioned to open the lift gate without having to remove the rack. This rack is easy to use, versatile, and well made. Great purchase. Would purchase it again if I needed another rack.

Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
I purchased this rack to carry our families' four bikes. There are two adult bikes and two kid bikes. It was very simple to put together and install on the vehicle! That's where the easiness stopped! It was nearly impossible for all four of our bikes to fit on this rack! It took me almost an hour the first time placing the bikes on the rack to figure out a way to position them so that they all would fit. Luckily, I manage to get them all on.. Not to mention, they rubbed each other and scratched the paint off of ne another. I think we need to purchase a 6-bike rack for our family of four..
The Thule Hitch has been very easy to use, but becomes loose after using it for a period of time. We tighten it as much a possible and it still manages to loosen. This makes us a bit nervous for a long trip.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
The rack was very easy to install. Like anything you do for the first time, the next time would be much easier. Could do 5 or 6 in the time that the first install required. The bike lock was also an easy installation. The two make a nice unit.
Yakima fits our family of four bikes well. You can definitely get a fifth bike on but it would be tight. The locking system works well and the clasps are easy to use. So much happier with this rack than my last on. I don't curse nearly as much when putting bikes on the car! Personally, I'm a big fan of Etrailer in general. They are thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. Great price and value.

Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I had to put my electric bikes into this rack, backwards, to make them fit. Not ideal, but it works. The receiving 'trays' that are intended to provide support for holding the bikes, by being placed under the bike tires, are forced to be moved to a location that is not directly under the bottom of the bike tires. While it works in this manner, it is not ideal. For the support that attaches to the diagonal bike frame, we had to remove it from the vertical rail of the rack. We reinstalled it, upside down, because that's the only way we could make it fit, or 'grab', the bike frame. Again, we made it work, but it's not ideal. We chose to keep the rack because it was so much less expensive than the Thule rack we considered buying. The bike shop owner didn't agree with us. He observed that we are putting $3000 worth of bikes on the rack and risking that investment. So far, no problems, other than the ill-fitting installation.
Perfect, works on my e-bikes even with 3-inch tires, just I have to use longer straps. Love it.

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Fits my 2015 Chevy traverse perfectly. Holds the bike great & very sturdy. So glad I found this rack & bought it here would definitely recommend it.
I needed a bike carrier that would fit a full size Crown Vic trunk as well as the back of a Chevy Traverse. This product does both. It only took about 10 minutes to assemble.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
This rack was very easy to install on my Chevy traverse. Some people may be concerned about the spoiler being pulled apart, but if you follow the directions this should never happen. Make sure you adjust your dial to the correct number.
Thanks

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chevrolet Traverse
Hey everyone I'm Collin here at eTRailer. Today we have a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. We're going to be test fitting the Thule Camber Four Bike Rack. This is a hanging style rack that allows you to transport up to four bikes to and from your destination. With the hanging style, it's going to hold your bike and support it by the top two right here, as well as having three different points of contact. Two of those points are going to be these straps, which come around the top two and secure them into the cradles. The third point's going to be on the seat post tube with an anti-sway cradle and strap, making sure that it doesn't' move too much back and forth.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chevrolet Traverse
Hey, guys. Today, we have a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, and we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Helium Pro 3-Bike hanging style rack. Now, this bike rack's pretty special in its own way. It is very easy to handle, comes in at about 20 pounds, but it's still able to carry three bikes. You don't see that too often, especially when you get into those platform racks, and they just get to be 60, 70, 80 pounds, and they just get a little too hard to handle when you want to put it in your hitch, or pull it out and store it. So this one's going to be very easy to handle, and still give you that capacity for carrying bikes. You can carry up to three bikes to and from the trails.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chevrolet Traverse
Hey guys. Today we're going to do a test fit of the Thule Helium Pro two bike hanging style rack on our 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. This bike rack does have a pretty unique feature about it in that, one, it's going to be able to carry two bikes to and from the trails, but it's going to be very easy to handle. It only comes in at just under 20 pounds, so it's going to be very easy to install on your hitch, it's going to be very easy to remove, and even the components around it are going to be very light weight. So you're not going to have too many issues when it comes to lifting it or anything like that. When you get to those platform racks, even the two bike platform racks can come in at 40 to 50 pounds, but this kind of takes that hassle away.It comes with this nice cam buckle strap that's going to allow you to secure your bikes in another way.
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chevrolet Traverse
Hey guys, today we have a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse and we're going to do a test of the Inno vertical hang 4 bike hanging style rack. Now, this rack has a unique way of holding your bikes that hasn't really been seen too much from hanging style racks. Now normally, with that style rack, you're going to have 2 posts that are parallel to the ground like so and they'll hold your bike by the top tube. Now, this one's going to have 2 vertical posts that are perpendicular to the ground. And basically, how it's going to hold your bike is the top coil's going to kind of wedge up at the junction of the top tube and the down tube right here. It's going to wedge itself up there, then we have a strap securing it on to the cradle. And then, down here, we're going to have the support cradle that's at the midway point of our down tube.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Chevrolet Traverse
What's up everybody, it's Ajay, with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on our 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. It's gonna be a good platform style bike rack, which means it's gonna hold the bike by the tire, which opens up to hold most different types of bikes. We have a carbon fiber one right on here right now. If it was a center mast one, then the hook that came down and touched the frame, we wouldn't be putting this on there, because we don't wanna damage this frame at all. It could easily be dented or scratched.

Something unique about this bike rack, like I said in the name, it's designed to be able to carry up to two E-Bikes weighing up to 70 pounds each, so it's a lot more durable for your heavier bikes. If we come in closer, starting from the outside and going in, we have a cradle for the front, and the rear tires. These cradles do not pivot back and forth, they're stationary in that aspect, but if you loosen this knob right here, you can slide it back and forth to accommodate any type of length that your bike might have and then you simply tighten it back up, and it's ready to go. Our bike is secured at three different points of contact.

Your bike rack is going to come with a set of keys for when your cable lock is in use. You simply slide this tab up, you can turn the key in there, and it will release the cable lock in order to help you unload your bikes. At a closer look at these cradles, you can see they pivot from side to side to accommodate any size frame you might have, and they shift back and forth in order to help you with the spacing of your bikes when you have it fully loaded. If we look over here, we have three different points of contact on our bike securing it to our bike rack.

Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro 2 bike rack. One of my favorite things about this bike rack is that it's made from aluminum, so it's going to be incredibly lightweight. We're also not going to have to worry about any rust or corrosion issues, either. It's going to hold our bike down in three spots. Two straps on our top tube, and this strap down here is actually going to be an anti-sway strap, and that'll help prevent any bike-to-bike or bike-to-vehicle contact. Now this rack does hold two bikes.
Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse

The best feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing out away from the vehicle so you can gain hatch access without having to remove your bikes. To do that, loosen up this knob here in the back. While it doesn't make contact with the bumper itself, just be careful as you undo this. There we go.
still holding strong. still very happy.
