Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
I haven't officially used this product, however I have put it on my van and here is my first impression. Overall the product is strong. The only 3 things that I can see is a problem. If you have kids with training wheels, this product wouldn't work. Bikes are to close together for training wheels. If your adult bike has a little curve or the cross bar is large, you will have a little trouble putting it on. The next thing is the bolt that allows you to access the rear hatch is a pain. How they have it set up, you need a wrench to take the bolt out just to get into the rear hatch.
I'm still totally happy with this rack after a year. It is so nice to be able to open the back hatch (Honday Odyssey) without removing everything.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
This Yakima 5 bike rack is exactly what I needed. It's very easy to mount and very sturdy.
Rack is very easy to install and remove, and fits well with no rattle in the 2" receiver. Loading bikes is easy and it will, indeed, hold 5 bikes with relatively little effort. The only negatives I have are 1) Unless I use Yakima's custom locking cable for this rack, there is no good way to lock bicycles to the rack 2) It wasn't clear to me that I would need adapter bars (8002531) for kids bikes. I've always managed to get them on my older racks, but not the Yakima. I suspect that most modern racks would need these bars. Overall, very satisfied.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Solid trailer, not too difficult to put together. After putting it together I took a 100 mile trip with four bikes and it worked great. Two tips from others helped. I installed in "on the car" (and was able to do it by myself) and I took some time to put the bikes in the order we would always load it (with our current four bikes), essentially "setting" the wheel holders to the exact bike. Great product and great price.
Great quality, awesome price I ordered this on etrailer Feb 1st, got the delivery on Feb 8th. Perfect packing. The product was very easy to assemble. There were finally 4 small screws that I was not clear what to do with. Called etrailer and they clearly told me where the screws go. The rack is built strong, really good quality. I was actually surprised to see such great quality at less than half the price of a Thule or Yakima. Overall the product is easy to use. Yes it has some quirks like when you fold the center rachet arm, the cotter pin to hold it in place is sometimes hard to push in. Not a big deal but something that swagman can improve on. Also one other key point is the total dimension of this rack. I have a Honda Odyssey and with 4 bikes mounted on the rack, it takes about 3-3.5 feet of space at the back (juts out). A thule T2 or Yakima hold up for 4 bikes will be close to 5.6-6 feet. The swagman has a great advantage in reducing vehicle sway and drag. As with anything this comes with a drawback that you need to play around and figure out the best positions for the bikes. Again not a big deal, one time job of 10 mins. Overall I am very happy with the bike rack and even more happy with etrailer. I will be coming to etrailer for all my future rack, hitch needs.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I have been using this hitch daily for about 3 weeks. Installation was straight-forward and I had no problems getting it on my 2015 Honda Odyssey. The unit is solid and the amount of sway is minimal. In addition to the rack, I also purchased the Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded hitch pin (S64029). It works fine as well. I did not order the cable that goes with it because of some other reviews I read, but I think I will be ordering the cable shortly. My wife's bike required the use of an Alternate Frame Bike adapter (64005), which I also purchased and it works well. My only suggestion is put additional protective wrap around the frame where the bike is secured on top. I went to the local hardware store and purchased a length of pipe insulation, and then cut it to size. It adds additional protection to reduce scratches and wear on the frame. This was an idea presented in other reviews. I researched a number of other racks, including Thule, and I think this is the best rack for the money. I would recommend this rack to anyone.
This rack it nice and decently made. Really easy to use as long as you use the same bikes in same positions every time. The one thing I was surprised at was very few reviewers if any mentioned that the three bolts that serve to allow the 3 arms to pivot are just simple carriage bolts with regular nuts on the end. All I needed was an adjustable wrench and I the middle arm off in a few seconds. That would mean your bikes are gone even it you use padlocks in the ratchet arms. Seems kind of stupid to use a padlock and key when all a thief really needs is and adjustable wrench. I guess I will take a chisel and damage the extend portion of the bolt threads to make this a little harder from someone to undo the nuts. It really is a weak spot that should be addressed. I am actually thinking a decent cable lock running through the bikes, rack and secured to the car hitch might be more secure than a locking hitch bolt and 2 padlocks for the ratchets. Or perhaps a combination of all the above. As expected Etrailer's service and shipping were excellent.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
This is a very solid product! I have used it for over a year now and love it! I have had up to 3 bikes on this without a problem and have traveled over 8 hours in the car one way with absolutely no issues. Many other bike racks like this one that I see on other cars look unstable this is not unstable in anyway. I did have to file some of the paint off of the rack to get it to fit in my 1 and 1/4" hitch but once that was done it has been perfect. I also bought the locking hitch bolt which is awesome too.
Well built and good quality. So glad I can haul bikes easier with our Honda Pilot now!

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
We received the bike rack very quickly and efficiently...the order and shipment process included emailed updates and it was here in 5 days. I installed it on my 2010 Honday Odyssey easily. Out of the box and on the car in less than 45 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow and all parts were there. We used the rack this weekend to go biking. It works as advertised-- easy to install and use, take on and off and also tilt to access cargo bay of van. The price I got on the rack was $50 lower than any store nearby plus it was in stock with etrailer. Free shipping included. I highly recommend this product and also etrailer as a company. Altogether a pleasant experience.
This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great product for the price. Pretty easy to set up. Only issue I have is my mountain bike, which is an XL frame with 27 inch wheels, is pushing the limits of the base. Wish this rack was just 4-5 inches longer that way you have the perfect overlap amount in the middle without pushing the current frame to the limits. With that said it does hold my bike just have to find the sweet spot. But this fits my son’s youth bike perfectly!
As always with products I buy from e-Trailer, this item is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Easy assembly, I bought 2 but only installed one until I check the fit with my rooftop carrier.

Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Swing Away
Seems like a great product based on the specs and the positive reviews definitely swayed me. But, my experience was only 3 stars. Here's what I found. I have a 2" hitch provided and installed by U-Haul on our 2007 Odyssey, so no flimsy 1" adapter. This thing still moves around a great deal. No failures, but just be prepared when you first mount bikes, go over bumps, etc. LOTS of surface rust after just a year of use where the connecting rod fits into the hitch; took 30+ minutes to work it free last time I took it off the car. We tend to leave it on because we use it often and it is heavy and beastly to put on. Consider some sort of release agent before installation or removal. Operation was fairly straight forward once I got the hang of it. However, over time, certain functions started to fail or become difficult. The key lock is a bit tricky to engage even out of the box, but became very difficult to turn the longer it has been in use. After 10 years, OK. After 1 year, not so much. The locking pin on the arm also started to come out of alignment with the hole in the arm (not much, but enough, has me wondering about the years to come) and required quite a bit of additional manipulation to get it to engage. But, my largest criticism is bike management. We have two adult comfort / mtn bikes, one kid bike and a tag-along. We bought two of the cross bar attacher thingies. No dice. My own men's bike was easy to get on and always went on first per instructions. Next was my wife's, a Trek with a pretty standard triangular frame. TIGHT, TIGHT fit to get that thing on and not the ideal placement to make it work. Our oldest son's bike, another Trek, wouldn't go; could only get one arm through. The cross bar adapter was NO help. What a waste of money, those. Can't use them on anything. They are very limited in their range of use. To get it on, I had to have the bike cocked at about 60 degrees. The crazy fit of bikes #2 and #3 eliminated any chance of getting that tag-along on it even though it is much smaller than a bike. Into the trunk it went, defeating the whole point of a 4-bike carrier. The detachable tie-downs seem like a great idea, but they sure are easy to drop when wrestling a bike, or lose OR STEAL. Where are you going to put them, or the extras, when not in use? Something else to figure out and deal with. The sliding lock downs? Again, another seeming good idea, but after a year, they become very difficult to slide back and forth. I have really had to wrench on them in certain cases to get them to move at all. Can't be good long term and very aggravating since it is supposed to be a slick feature. Why not just leave them in place once you figure out the best spot? Well, there's the principle of it, but there is also this thing called my kids' friends! Yeah, play dates or whatever. Requires a total rework. Not fun. Two adult bikes was very workable even if you couldn't move lock downs...just used the next ones over. And the swing out feature was, in general, very useful. Maybe it's an impossible task, a great 4-bike rack, I dunno. Maybe it's me. But, maybe it's the rack. If you can, try YOUR bikes before buying. Maybe a friend has one already? Maybe it requires some kind of care and feeding not mentioned anywhere. I wouldn't say don't buy it, but just be aware of what you're getting into. Talk to owners of this and other types and brands to see what their use issues might be.
Installation today was pretty straight forward. We had no problems. It may require two people to install the bike rack onto the hitch because it is pretty heavy. But, as a 41 yo woman I was able to attach the bike rack to the hitch by myself. We haven't used it yet to transport our bikes, but I imagine that will be seamless too.

Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I received the Hollywood HR4000 bike rack recently and it was very easy to assemble and use. We are planning a trip soon and know that with the bike rack it will be an enjoyable time for the family. etrailer was very good about keeping us updated on when the bike rack was supposed to arrive. They were on top of it all the way. Kudos to them!

Curt Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
Installation on my 2012 Odyssey. I thought these pics may be helpful.
I ordered etrailer hitch and Curt bike rack for our 2015 Honda Odyssey. Happy to write that the install went as smooth as shown in the self install videos. Bike rack is sturdy enough to do pullups .... I waited long and hauled bikes inside the van for few years and this purchase was best for long distance recreational outing. If you know how to use a screw driver, you can do the install... You could also get the feel like a mechanic crawling under the van..

Hollywood Racks Road Runner Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
So, one year in, this works well for the price. I have successfully hauled around 5 bikes a couple times now including a couple vacations. Bikes got there securely despite 4+ hours of driving at interstate speeds, including one harrowing stretch on bumpy roads with 70 mph speed limits (wow Texas, seriously?) where the car got significant amounts of "air" at random intervals. Getting the bikes on and off is still a major pain. I had to buy the adapter for 3 womens/children's bikes. My own full size mountain bike barely fits on, too, the pitch between the bars seems a bit challenging and requires me to contort the bike dramatically to get it on and off. If you are trying to actually get 5 bikes on here, figuring out the bike handle tetris game is not easy. Will take you a bit. It still takes me ~15 min to load 5 bikes up every time. On short trips I sometimes skip the tiedown through all the bike wheels and it's fine, although I wouldn't do it for long trips. My biggest regret here is not buying one where the rack will pivot out to allow access to the rear minivan hitch with the bikes attached -- this means this is the last thing to pack in the car and the first thing you unpack, every time on vacation. It requires planning and forethought. The rack does fold down nicely which we used extensively on vacation once the bikes were unpacked, just don't drive around that way. On my Honda minivan the bottom of this sags a bit when fully loaded with bikes, to the extent I scrape hard every time exiting my slightly inclined driveway. We found a few other low spots along our way, from restaurants to other businesses, that resulted in similar cringe-inducing moments. We drove it on the beach quite a bit, after a healthy wash with the pressure washer there is some mild rusting where the handles rotate, but the rack is otherwise in good shape.
Bought several bike racks and trailer hitches from etrailer. They followed up to make sure all was good. I would highly recommend buying from them. Good people and they care about the customer!
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Honda Odyssey
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Light 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. That's going to be part number: INH640.As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features. Now, starting from the outside and working our way in, we have this integrative cable locking system. You simply pull it up from the mast of the bike rack, and then whatever bikes you have installed, you just wrap them around and simply insert it into that latch right there.Your bike rack will come with a set of keys, so when you want to remove that cable lock, you simply slide this little tab up, like that, you have the insert for your key to unlock it and unload your bikes. These cradles are adjustable side to side, and back and forth. That's going to help out and accommodate for any type of size frame you might have, or some specific spacing you might want between your bikes. These cradles also have a thick rubber coated surface right here, and that's going to help protect it from any scratches or abrasions during travel.Come here to our bike, and we see it's attached at three different points of contact. On these two cradles right here, we have a strap on the front and a strap on the back. Down here, we have this anti-rattle cradle, with a strap through it.Now what that does, is once that's strapped in, that's going to prevent the bike from swaying at all during travel and prevent it from making contact with other bikes or with the vehicle. If we come up front, we see we have this strap that's connecting the front wheel to the frame of the bike.

Today in our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Curt two bike platform rack for fat bikes for inch and a quarter and 2" hitches, part number C18085-FB. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can carry up to two fat bikes on it as well as tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached. Now while we have a fat bike on it now, this will also work with road bikes, mountain bikes, and some alternate frame bikes as well. To tilt this away, we'll come to the base here. You're going to see two pins.

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Honda Odyssey
Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro XTB Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9034XT. Now, one of the really nice things about this bike rack is, is that we don't have to remove our bike to get into our back hatch. If you come down here, grab this lever, the bike rack will tilt down. Then from either side of the vehicle, we still have access to get anything in or out that we may need. To put the back back into position, simply come back, lift up on the lever, and you'll hear it lock into place. Now, there's no frame contact on the bike the way it's mounted. You have a wheel hook up here in the front, and you have a strap, a ratcheting strap, back here.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Honda Odyssey
Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer 2-bike platform rack, part number TS02G. Now one of the really nice features of this bike rack is that if you're out and about and you need to get in the back of your cargo area, lift the lever up, step on the foot pedal, and we'll tilt away and we can still have full access to get anything in or out of our cargo area that we may need. Now to put the bike back into position, just lift up and it will lock into place. Now I do want to mention there is no frame contact on the way this is mounted to the bike rack. In the front here we have a wheel hook, and in the back here we have a strap that's going to hold on our wheel. Now to take it off, simply push in on the tab, feed the strap out. Then we come up to the front here.
What our customers are saying:
