The wiring you will need for your 2011 Mercury Mariner is T-One Harness # 118551, which will give you a 4-way connector. To use that with the 7-way on your tent trailer you would need to use the 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717, which provides connection points for both your vehicle and trailer's plugs. To mount the adapter you may want to use no-drill bracket # C57202 along with Mounting Bracket for 7-Way # 18138.
You can see how to mount this adapter in the video... view full answer...
The Malone Low Max trailer has a removable hub, so you'll be able to pull it to access and remove the bearings; we've actually done a helpful video that walks through the process of removing, inspecting and re-packing your bearings. This is recommended once per year or every 12,000-miles; whichever comes first.
I've also linked our helpful article on the process that gives some helpful links to replacement parts that you might need if you need to replace the bearings or don't have a Bearing... view full answer...
It depends on the type of freshwater system you have in your RV or trailer. There is likely a specific procedure outlined in the literature for the RV/trailer that you will need to follow. If there isn't then you can follow the procedure below.
Basically when you are sanitizing the tank you aren't just cleaning that tank. You will be cleaning out the whole system so the water and sanitizing solution you use will run through the whole system.
A lot of people use a bleach and water solution... view full answer...
If your vehicle is equipped with a 4-Way connector, the Curt Universal Installation Kit # C57186 that you referenced includes everything needed to convert it to a fully-functional 7-Way. This includes the needed 10 gauge wire that you will connect to the vehicle's positive battery post via the included 40 amp breaker to activate the 12V pin on the 7-Way. This is the terminal you will use to charge the battery on your trailer while you are towing.
I have attached the complete written installation... view full answer...

There are a few differences between the two controllers.
The Voyager has been around for a looooooooong time. It uses an internal pendulum to determine how quickly the tow vehicle is braking. In order to operate correctly, this level of the pendulum needs to be adjusted. The Voyager also lacks a digital display which makes troubleshooting more difficult. The controller does not provide boost settings and is not compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems.

The Draw Tite Hitch part # 75751 that you referenced has been confirmed to fit your 2009 Mercury Mariner. In order to order replacement hardware for it you will need part # RHK. The trailer wiring harness you reference, Draw-Tite # 118251, is intended for the Mercury Mariner that is equipped with the factory tow package (but will not fit vehicles with backup sensors built into the rear bumper).
For your 2009 Mercury Mariner without factory-installed tow package the correct wiring harness is Tow Ready # 118551. This part uses a powered converter that draws its power directly from the vehicle battery. It plugs into your Mariner tail light wiring and requires no... view full answer...
With the Taskmaster 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire # AM30000 having a diameter of 16.1 inches when fully inflated, we will not have a perfect fit for a cover. The closest we will have will be the CE Smith Spare Tire Cover # CE27410, but this will fit tires up to 21 inches in diameter, so it will be very loose and will need modifications to fit snuggly.
We do also have the Classic Accessories RV Wheel Covers # CA80098, which technically isn't a spare tire cover, but can also be modified... view full answer...
The difference between the Curt # 13650 and # C13651 hitches are pretty simple.
The # C13651 hitch is designed to fit your 2008 Mariner if you already have an OEM trailer hitch installed. It will also work for your vehicle whether it has a hitch installed or not.
The # 13650 trailer hitch will not work with vehicles that have an OEM trailer hitch installed. If you do not have an OEM hitch, then the # 13650 will work great for you. view full answer...
I was unable to find what kind of clearance and recommended rim size of the 1974 Shasta Camper.
As such, I do not recommend upgrading your current rims to 15". I would suggest sticking with the 13" rims. If you let me know why you are wanting the upgrade, I can help you find what you need. For example, if it's because you want the camper to sit higher, we can perhaps make some improvements to the axle.
If you decide to stay with the 13" rims and tires, you will need to know your tire... view full answer...
If you are absolutely sure you wouldn't exceed the capacity of the one axle on your trailer you could get by with just one axle. You are going to have to move the good axle to where the center equalizer is currently at to ensure you get proper axle placement which ensures that your trailer tongue weight will be in the 10 to 15 percent of the total trailer weight range so that you don't have sway.
For a single axle hanger kit you would need the part # APS1. view full answer...
If you do not wish to retain the factory backup sensors on your 2008 Mercury Mariner then you can use the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit with Circuit Tester part # 18252 instead of the Tow Package Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector part # 118251.
In order to do this you will need to cut off the connector that attaches to the backup sensors and splice the above harness into those connections using the included circuit tester. The backup sensors and tow package wiring are on the same connector.... view full answer...
To attach the Roadmaster StowMaster 5000 tow bar to your 2009 Mercury Mariner you will need the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, part # 4406-1. These base plates will install on your Mariner and once the drawbars are removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible.
To complete the towing set up for your Mariner, you will also need safety cables, and lighting. For safety cables, I recommend RoadMaster 64 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643. The base plates provide attachment... view full answer...
The best way to find out if your 2006 Mercury Mariner has a factory tow package is to have the dealership run the VIN number of your vehicle. They will be able to tell you all the installed factory options the vehicle has.
If you are trying to decide if the Hopkins Wiring Harness, part # 40455, will fit your Mariner, there is another way that might help you determine if you have the factory tow package. You can look at the rear of the vehicle for the tow package connector that would be... view full answer...
2 inch trailer hitches have the best weight capacities and the most hitch accessories made for them so whenever available this is the hitch size to go with. So for your 2007 Mercury Mariner you'd want the part # 13650 for if you do not have a factory hitch currently or # C13651 for if you do have a factory 1-1/4 inch hitch.
For trailer wiring then you'd want the Tekonsha part # 118551 as it installs the easiest and also has the most reliable converter box. view full answer...

I am looking at the install pictures and if I am reading things correctly, the steel hanger welded to the exhaust pipe is touching the hitch. This in turn sends exhaust vibrations into the vehicle and that is what you are hearing. You have a few options of how this can be corrected.
The first is what we do here in our shops, and that is simply re-bending the hanger so that things do not make contact. The hangers are not always welded on the same way at the factory and some times they warp... view full answer...
