Hey Bob, I appreciate all the troubleshooting you did so far but basically the short answer is that you need a new # C56208 as yours has an internal short that isn't repairable. These are designed to "jump on the grenade" of a trailer wiring short and prevent it from making it to the vehicle wiring and causing more damage there. Hi Wes; you need to use a 12V outlet with the 12V plug on the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. The Brake Buddy has a charge line to keep the battery on your vehicle charged, it isn't designed to tie into a brake system like this one.
The remote/monitor has a manual override so you can activate the brakes without the motorhome brakes applied. This system is designed to work with the factory brake system, I would not try to install that auxiliary pump with the Patriot.
