I just purchased a Blue Ox BX 7420 tow bar to tow my 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Need to know what other part numbers I will need to complete the set up. I will would like the base plate with removable arms, the Demco Stay in play brake system and a diode light kit. Is there anything else that I’ll need? Please provide part numbers. Thanks

Hey James, the base plate kit you'd want for your 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the Blue Ox part # BLU76HR which works perfectly with your current Blue Ox base plate kit and has the removable arms you are wanting as well.
For a braking system the Demco Stay N Play part # SM99251 is a really great option and one that I would recommend highly. It's easier to install than most similar systems and also works really well. Our installers rate this as their favorite.
For lighting you can use the diode kit, # RM-15267, and not have to worry about cutting into the taillight housing. This will splice into your taillight wiring to allow your tow vehicle to control the taillight assemblies of the towed vehicle. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
You will also need a charge line kit part # RM-156-25 to keep the vehicle battery topped off when towed.
You are also going to need a harness from a Jeep dealer as well that we can't get. It is part # 68321424AB.

Jameson, thanks for the quick response. I will contact my jeep dealer for the harness. I am going to look at all your instructional videos to see if this will be a me or them project.
