  • Replacement Spring for 2020 Grand Design Reflection 300RBTS
  • Hey Scott, we have a 4-leaf double eye spring that is rated for 5,200 lb axles with the part # DX45CR which is the very popular size of 25-1/4 inches. I would need to know for sure how long your current springs are to know for sure if this is correct fit though. Yours should measure a little longer than this but either way let me know the length you have.

  • How to Power the Furrion Vision S+ Cameras to Work in Security Mode
  • Hey Liz. The cameras of the Furrion Vision S+ item # FR64AD will need to be wired directly to a constant 12v power source, like your Grand Design's batteries, to use them in the security mode. With the infrared lights on each camera will pull less than .35 amps of power. During the day or if you're not using the IR they'll pull .2 amps. Did your Grand Design come prewired for a camera system? You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Reply to...

  • New Leaf Springs & Equalizer Upgrade on Grand Design Reflection 312BHTS Travel Trailer
  • So starting with the question about weight, since you have 5,200 lb axles, go with the 5,300 lb leaf springs, or even 6,000 lb leaf springs would be okay, but I do not recommend going with springs rated less than the axle capacity. The number of springs doesn't come into play, the capacity is what really matters. As for fit, we don't have a way of knowing what leaf springs are on any trailer - the same goes for the equalizer - so you'll need to do some measuring. Leaf springs do flatten...

  • Replacing Safety Chain Loops on Trailer That Broke Off
  • Happy new year to you as well! The best way to replace (or add new) safety chain loops to your trailer frame is to simply have new ones like the Brophy # MB38 welded on. There's really not another good method for doing this that will ensure safe operation in the event of a breakaway situation. You can then add some Quick Links like # C82932 (if you don't already have them) to the loops that will hook up to your safety chains. I have attached a short video review on the Safety Chain...

  • Replacement Axle Beam for 2020 Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS
  • Hi Gina; from what I was able to find that is an 86-1/2" long 5,200 lb axle. For a replacement you can use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 8327816. However, this axle has a spring center measurement of 71-1/2" and it looks like yours is 68-1/2". You can verify this by looking at the axle tag, the measurement will look like "SC=68.50." Assuming that is correct, you will have to cut off the spring seats and weld on # TRSS300 to match your current measurement. What...

  • Recommended Shortest Grease Caps for a 2.44" OD
  • Hey Neil, thanks for the picture! The shortest grease caps we have are the 2.44" OD EZ Lube Grease Cap item # 21-42-1 that has a 1.212" crown height and the Dexter Grease Caps item # DX99HR that have a 1.03" crown height. The crown height measurement is taken from the base of the grease cap flange that sits on top of your axle to the very top of the grease cap. It's labeled B on the picture below. What is the crown height of you current grease cap?

  • Can Awning Fabric Be Glued Back Together If It Starts To Separate?
  • Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out. You can try to glue it but, in my experience, there isn't really a reliable way to reattach the fabric once it starts to separate. The fabric is originally bonded and mechanically captured at the factory, and adhesives or tape (like duct tape) usually only work short term before heat, tension, and wind cause it to fail again. There really isn’t a “by-the-book” repair for that connection. Trying to glue it back in may buy you a little time, but it’s likely...

  • Upgrading 4400 Pound Axle To 6000 Pounds
  • I have a solution for you. I suggest going with the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 86-1/2" Long - 6,000 lbs # 8327826 and the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks - Tandem 8K, 3-1/2" Axles # RM-2470-2580. These will work with the Dexter axle. You could do this however, it might not be a good idea. Increasing the capacity of your trailer's suspension will not increase the trailer's capacity. The frame and other parts may be rated lower than 6000...

  • Upgraded Pin Box Recommendation For 2022 Grand Design 303RLS With Lippert 1621 Pin Box
  • Hello Rusty, thanks for reaching out. What I recommend for you is the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # 325-GH-8040. This is designed specifically to replace the Lippert 1621 pin box, and it is properly rated for your 11,955 lb GVWR 5th wheel. The Gen-Y pin boxes are fantastic and they are made here in the USA. They use torsion rubber to absorb shock, much like a torsion trailer axle. This gives you much better ride quality compared to a standard pin box. The torsion rubber...

  • Can SoftStart be Used with Surge Protector
  • Hey Allen, yes you can definitely use the SoftStart part # AS34FR with a surge protector. You would want to plug the surge protector in the power source first and then plug the Softstart into the surge protector. This order ensures that the surge protector handles any initial power spikes before the soft start manages the inrush current from the appliance, offering protection against both mechanical start-up stress and electrical surges. Have you had any power issues with your Grand Design...

  • How Many Bikes Can E-Bike Rack for 5th Wheel Application Carry
  • I really wish there was a great solution but nothing we have works mainly because of the number of bikes. E-bike racks are primarily 2 bike racks and when you have to limit them to 5th wheel applications that makes it really hard. If for some reason you would only carry 2 e-bikes we have the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR which is 5th wheel rated and has the weight capacity needed.

  • How To Find Bearing And Brake Info For Dexter Axles On 2018 Grand Design 2018bhts
  • Hello Jay, thanks for reaching out. I wasn't able to find any good references for that Dexter number, but if you can provide me with the casting number from your hub, I should be able to look up the bearing and brake info using that. Brake drums will have a casting number right on the front, should be a shorter sequence of like 4 digits like "8-407" or something like that. Get me that info and I am happy to look into it and make some recommendations.

  • Will Terran Axle Trailer Idler Hub Assembly Fit 2k Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension
  • Hey Tom! Yes, the Terran Axle Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # TX33VJ will fit the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR2KHDS01. The Timbren uses your standard 3,500 lb bearing combination, just like the hub. The Timbren system comes with spindle nuts and washers so you won't need to purchase them separately. Are you building a trailer or swapping out your standard axle with the Timbren to upgrade your suspension/clearance?

  • Do You Have a Replacement Thermostat 15034 For an Atwood Furnace?
  • The problem is your Atwood Thermostat 15034 is obsolete. So you would have to try and find one used. You may be able to replace it with a standard Thermostat # CAM09231 as it typically only requires a common and signal wire. I do see the Atwood has a 4 wire connection but as it has lights the additional wiring is likely only to power the lights. You can check your furnace manual to determine which wires actually control the furnace.

  • Replacement Leaf Spring for 2019 Grand Design Reflection 315 RLTS
  • Hey Ken, thanks for including your axle configuration sheet as from that I can tell you need a 26 inch long leaf spring for your 5.2k capacity axles so for a replacement spring you would want the part # e94SR which is correct length and rated for up to a 6k axle. You were wanting a replacement spring correct and not a Roadmaster Comfort Ride system?

  • Does Furrion Arctic RV Fridge Have Lock For Doors While Traveling
  • Hi Phil; good question and the Furrion Arctic RV Refrigerator # FR42PJ does not have a lock for the doors to lock them while traveling. There isn't a separate latch or lock for this particular fridge, so if ensuring the doors are always closed is paramount, I would suggest considering a different option, the Everchill RV Fridge # EV77FR. The # EV77FR is smaller, at about 11 cu ft compared to the 16 cu ft of the Furrion, but it does have a latch that can be used so the doors stay shut -...

  • Replacement Pin Box For Lippert Turning Point Pin Box On a 2018 Grand Design 150 230RL 5TH Wheel
  • As you have a Lippert Tuning Point pin box the only replacement we have is the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY48GR. This converts your 5th wheel to a gooseneck ball connection so you will need a gooseneck ball in your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4500 rather than a 5th wheel hitch. If you wish to keep your 5th wheel hitch you will need to get a new box from Lippert.

  • Replacement Leaf Springs and Road Armor Equalizer Upgrade For a 2018 Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS
  • You will want to upgrade to the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e34SR on your 2018 Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS. The springs flattening is a common issue for this camper and these new springs are rated for 6,000lbs per set versus the 5,200lb springs from the factory. To add the Road Armor Equalizer # LC696740 you will also want to add the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR76ZR. This will give you wet bolts which allows the equalizer to operate more effectively since it will not bind up...
