Question:
Which Helper springs are better for my Class A? The Timbrens for front and rear or the SumoSprings

Expert Reply:
While both the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TFFF53B & # TFRF53A and the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSF-170-40-2 & # SSR-180-54-1 are both great solutions for your 2019 Jayco Precept 31UL, there are some differences to take note of.
Timbren is a bit more renown in this space and while a very solid product, that strength comes with the tradeoff that the ride quality can be stiff. Made from a rigid rubber construction, it can be less forgiving and this has been borne out in customer feedback.
Made instead from microcellular urethane, SumoSprings offer better ride quality because they aren't as stiff and will compress more gently. Also when they are installed, half of each spring is on the top and the other half is on the bottom so when contact is made, it is spring-to-springs whereas the Timbrens work so that the spring comes into contact with the frame directly.
Included are video resources with more information on both solutions.
