1,650-lb Capacity. Install these helper leaf springs above your vehicle's rear factory leaf springs. They reduce sway and prevent sagging, which is perfect for towing or hauling heavy loads. Designed for OEM springs that sit above the axle.

Features:

  • Reinforce your vehicle's rear suspension with extra leaf springs that prevent sagging and reduce sway by up to 30 percent
    • Work like sway bars to stabilize your OEM springs and keep them from twisting
    • Compensate for windy conditions, wind turbulence from big rigs, and weight shifts while cornering
    • Lift your truck when you are carrying a heavy load and prevent bottoming out
  • Adjust automatically to your payload
    • Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings activate when the OEM springs flex under load
    • Rollers deactivate when OEM springs aren't under load
  • Customizable - the shackles attaching the SuperSprings provide several options for installation
    • Choose a setting that increases load support and ride height for constant heavy loads or to compensate for minor spring fatigue in an older automobile
    • Choose a setting that maintains the original factory ride conditions and minimizes effect on unloaded ride quality and height
    • Choose a medium setting that balances support, height and ride comfort
  • Install easily - bolt on above your existing factory springs with no drilling required
    • Because factory springs set above the axle, an additional mounting kit is included for installation
  • Require no maintenance - no tubing or air pressure to monitor or adjust like air springs
  • Extend the life of brakes, tires, and factory suspension
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Weight capacity: 1,650 lbs
    • SuperSprings will not increase your vehicle's weight-carrying capacity
  • U-bolt length: 4"
  • Limited Lifetime warranty
  • 30-Day satisfaction guarantee

SuperSprings diagram of roller and shackle system for extra leaf spring

These additional leaf springs add support and sway control to your existing OEM suspension. Just bolt on SuperSprings over your existing factory springs, and they automatically work when you need them. As the factory spring flexes, a roller at each end of the beefy helper spring reacts to engage the helper spring and to provide extra support. The springs help to better distribute cargo weight throughout your existing suspension, channeling that weight to the points on the frame that are designed to support heavy loads.

Placing these leaf springs above your factory springs helps to keep your OEM springs from twisting, so the SuperSprings act like a sway bar, reducing the body roll that makes driving more difficult and dangerous. With these helper springs, driving is safer and easier when it's windy, when your vehicle is rocked by a passing semitruck and when cornering. The springs help to reduce sway by up to 30 percent. SuperSprings also allow more wheel travel in the rear suspension when they are under load, so they maintain traction and ride comfort better than rubber or polyurethane bumpers. That means they're great for drivers who frequently tow.

You can also customize the level of support provided by SuperSprings. For most models, the shackles that attach the helper leaf springs to your existing leaf springs have several installation options:

  • For greater support and ride height when your suspension is under a constant load or if you have an older automobile with some spring fatigue, install the helper springs using the upper bolt holes
  • To maintain the factory ride and reduce the effect on your ride height, install using the lower bolt holes
  • To balance support, height and ride comfort, install using the upper hole on one end and the lower hole on the other

SuperSprings are a maintenance-free, low-cost alternative to air spring systems, which require constant monitoring and air pressure adjustment. These helper leaf springs respond automatically to the load you carry, so there is no crawling under your truck to adjust them. You'll also reduce wear and tear on your suspension, brakes and tires, which saves you money. The bolt-on installation means that they are easy to fit - no drilling required.

This suspension stabilizer kit is perfect for trucks towing fifth wheels, campers and gooseneck trailers.

SuperSprings diagram of springs set above and below the axle

An additional mounting kit is included for installation with factory springs that set above the axle.

For vehicles with factory leaf springs that set above the axle, this mounting kit ensures that SuperSprings operate silently when the vehicle isn't loaded. When factory springs set below the axle, the axle itself serves as a fulcrum for the helper leaf springs. However, for vehicles that have OEM springs that set above the axle, the 2-inch brackets in the mounting kit act as fulcrum points on the underside of the SuperSprings. Furthermore, the shackles at the ends of the helper springs hold them in place and pivot as the load is transferred to the SuperSprings. Because there is minimal preload tension in the installed SuperSprings, you get a quieter ride.

works great big difference was easy to install all parts were in box durable

by:

looking for something that would allow me to haul/pull a little more weight, this is it. was easier to install than I thought it would be. could tell the difference right away. have a smaller travel trailer, this took almost all the sag away.

Very pleased! There are two settings, but I prefer the heavier capacity setting and higher in the rear feeling. It has made all the difference in the world with my long wheelbase 2002 Chevrolet Astro Van. I really do not feel that it has changed my ride comfort that much, very little, if any. I always have some kind of load on the van, whether hauling cargo in the van, or towing a trailer, that my ride is still as smooth as always. But, the remarkable thing is, that now my rear end isn't sagging to the ground like it always use to be, even without a load! I'm super pleased and would recommend these springs to everyone for the reasons I've shared above.

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for Mercedes Sprinter 2500 RV
In general, you could go one of two directions on this, but I think your best option is going to be with a leaf spring assist type solution, since they're going to provide the best sway control because they create an added layer to your existing leaf springs. However, what you're able to use is going to be dependent on whether or not your Sprinter has 2wd or 4wd. If you've got a 2wd model MB Sprinter, I recommend using the SumoSprings # SSA11MTKT because they're going to help control sway...

  • SuperSprings Rear Helper Springs on 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 are Not Engaging
Having that slight gap between the new SuperSprings # SSR-329-47 and the platform they make contact with is common not just with this brand but with others as well. It allows your suspension to compress some so as not to have too much of an effect on the unloaded ride quality. Since the springs are not engaging at the rear of your 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 that means that the factory suspension is not compressed enough. And that means that the amount of weight you have in the van is...

  • Helper Spring Recommendation for 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500
You're correct, the SumoSprings Rebel such as part # SSR-327-47-2 is compatible with 4WD vehicles only. For a 2WD vehicle, I'd recommend the SumoSprings Solo, part # SSR-330-47 which would add 900 lbs of support for your payload. For a higher capacity, up to 1650 lbs of support, go with the SuperSprings # SSA11MTKT. Both systems will add support and reduce shock as well as minimizing sway. The SumoSprings Solo mentioned above won't alter the factory ride height while the SuperSprings...

  • Improving Handling and Parked Stabilization of 2017 Winnebago View 24J
The best solution for ride quality and stability for your 2017 Winnebago View 24J will be with a SumoSpring # SSA11MTKT installed. This gives better suspension support that translates the best into improved handing, comfort, and support. Scissor jacks like the part # TJSCHD-24 will do a great job supporting the RV when parked too. For a sewer hose storage container that will work with the above hose, I recommend the Valterra RV Sewer Hose Carrier part # A04-3460BK which has an inner...

  • Suspension Enhancement Options for Winnebago View Based on 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500
We do have suspension enhancement products for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 on which your Winnebago View is built. These are displayed on the linked pages and include jounce-style bumper springs and a leaf spring kit # SSA11MTKT from Super Springs that works with the 2WD model. You do not mention the specific ride quality issue you're trying to fix but typically Class C RVs suffer from sway more than anything else. Rubber jounce springs stiffen the rear end, not exactly what...
