When the snow stacks up or the road turns icy, these Titan Chain tire chains keep you moving. The rounded twist links form a solid ladder pattern that digs into deep snow for dependable traction while still giving a smooth ride with less jarring than square links. Thick, low-carbon steel construction means you can count on lasting grip when winter driving gets tough.
The ladder-style cross chains grip evenly across the tread, making it easier to pull away from a stop and come to a controlled halt on slick surfaces. That steady traction helps keep your wheels from spinning when you need power most, whether it’s a steep hill or an icy stretch of road.
Getting a snug fit doesn’t have to mean wrestling with chains in freezing weather. The built-in cam tighteners make it simple to lock the chains tight around your tires. Just twist each cam with the included wrench until the chain is firm against the tread. Add optional rubber or chain adjusters for an even tighter hold if you want extra security.
Each link is made from strong, low-carbon steel for durability and resistance to wear. At 0.312" thick, the links are built to take the stress of heavy snow and slush without bending or breaking. The set includes chains for both sides of one axle, and each chain fits around wide-base or dual tires, so you get rugged performance where it counts.
When the snow clears, pack your chains away in the included canvas bag. It keeps them organized and easy to grab again next time the weather turns. With a maximum speed rating of 30 mph and a fit for tire sizes from 15" to 22-1/2", this set is made to handle real winter driving season after season.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at our Titan Chains snow with tire chains with the twist links that are designed for your dual tires right here at etrailer. For your duallies or for your trucks to have those dual tires, it's ideal to get those tire chains that's designed for them. That way, you have that extra traction all throughout your axle. So, this is gonna be a tire chain that fits around those two tires.
It's going to be similar in design to the single tire chain but with an extra feature, which is gonna be a third connection that goes through the tires. While there's a bunch of different tire chains for different situations, in this video, I'll explain the differences between those different tire chains' designs. And I'll also show you a special trick that I do in order to install that third connection, which can be tricky for those dual trucks. But first off, let's talk about this twist design we have here. Notice how these chains are twist chains, meaning they're twisted into each other.
That provides a little extra comfort compared to square chains of a similar shape, but they also are super useful if you have a lot of deep snow as well as a lot of mud. Now, if you're expecting a bit more ice than you are expecting snow, what you might prefer then are square chains or these twist chains but then they have a V-bar or cleats on the end. So, we have those here at etrailer as well. That way, you can get your different chains depending on the different types of weather conditions you're expecting. Now, these are going to be made of a low-carbon steel.
And the focus there is going to be grip as well as durability. So, as you're driving around, the carbon steel will help with the ice as well as with the rocks and give you that traction. Now, some other tire chains use a manganese nickel alloy and those are more focused on corrosion resistance. So, in that case, if you are using chains like these made of low-carbon steel, I do recommend just double checking them in between seasons before you put them on your tire to make sure they have not corroded. There's actually two types of these tire chains.
One has a twist link without cam tensioners. And the other one, which is this one, has the twist link with cam tensioners. So, this gives you that extra traction as you install your tire chain. And you also have these extra rubber tensioners too. So, these are sold separately. Not included with your tire chain. I highly recommend getting them though, because as you drive around and if your chains start to shift, this will shift with them and maintain the constant tension. So, when you get your chains, you are going to get two of these canvas bags. So, these canvas bags are technically reusable, but not as long-lasting as a soft shell or a hard shell some other tie chains come in. So, when you do put your chains in there, you can use a rubber band or a zip tie to keep it nice and tight. Now, this is still helpful for keeping it in your truck for whenever you need to use it. You're also going to get this cam tightener. So, this is the tool that you use for your cams in order to loosen or tighten them down. But I also use this to make the connection in between our tires. Let's take a look at that trick. So, compared to your single tire chains, your dual tire chains need to make three connections. So, one and two for the front and the back, and the new one is going to be the third, which goes in between your tire. So, this can be pretty tricky. Sometimes you're gonna have to drive over it and then reach around your tires, or put the chains on and then drive. But what I do so I don't have to drive back and forth is I utilize the tool that comes with the your tire chains that have those cam tensioners. So, what I do is I put the link that needs to be connected right over your cam tensioner and use this to feed it through your tires. So, using the tool, just pull the chains through and then you can connect the other hook. So, you still may wanna drive over your chains and then go out and make those connections, but this is gonna be a nice and easy way to do this if you're stuck in one spot. And that right there was a look at the Titan Chains snow tire chains with the twist links for your dual tires. And these also have those cam tensioners right here at etrailer..

I will be traveling in the mountains of Colorado this winter and need a good set of chains in order to travel safely. I ordered the twist link Titan tire chains for my Ram 2500 from etrailer.com using their sizing chart. I received them in a matter of days with free shipping! I have received several emails from company representatives wanting to insure that I had received them, knew how to install them and if I was satisfied. I haven't used them in snow or mud yet, but I put one on today to see if it fit and how hard it would be to set up. The chain fit perfectly and was quite easy to install. Thus far, I am very pleased!
Chains are heftier than picture shows; this is great for a RAM 2500. I put them on to check size and it was very good; it only took a few minutes on the 18" tires. Link in back was easy and cams to tighten was also easy. I will need chain tighteners. It appears I'm ready to drive in any mud and snow. I recommend users check clearance between mounted chains and brake line. Getting the chains really snug should be ok. Always drive a 10-20ft and recheck. Brake line placement is a design of the truck not the chains. If there was a way to move them about an inch or two further from the tire, that would be good. Secure any loose link(s).
Thanks for all your help
Awesome delivery. As soon as they arrived, I decided to dry fit them as a practise for when I have to use them in anger. At first the end connector on the cam side was difficult to figure out because of the way the locking mechanism was positioned, but once you have it swinging freely, it becomes obvious how it secures to the end of the chain. In all it took me only a couple of minutes to install and I am very happy with how the cams tighten and pull it all nice and tight.
I know the chains are designed to fit different sizes of tire, but a helpful guide would be to advise how many surplus chain links need cutting off to make the optimal fit for your specific tire. Once I had dry installed the chains, it was obvious that I needed to hack some of the links off. Once the links were removed, the chain ends secured to the correct end link on both sides and I don't have to worry about tucking away the danglers, which could damage my rim or bodywork.
Another useful guide to include, would be a YouTube link or hyperlink for the installation video. I know it returns a hit on a Google search, but still a nice touch.
This review is more about etrailer than the product. I have done business with this company for over ten years. Their professional staff has profound technical knowledge, and communicates it in clear, understandable language. These people are committed to helping the customer make a good choice. And their products, in my experience, are excellent quality. Chris kept me from ordering tire chains that would not fit my truck. Etrailer is my first choice.
I really liked these chains. They are the easiest to instal that Ive ever delt with. The truck really hooks up with them on I plowed a foot of slushy wet snow with them on up a twelve percent graid last year 2017. His year I plowed 5 inches of wet snow in two week drive with one chain on the drivers side rear tire!
I needed a set of tire chains for my RAM 3500 4X4 for winter travel "just in case", but I was having difficulty finding snow chains to fit the 20" rims. None of the brick-and-mortar stores carried the correct size.
etrailer.com's selection tool allowed my to find the proper size with confidence. Top that off with free shipping on a really heavy item, and no sales tax!
I've already tried them on and they do in fact fit perfectly.
I'm ready to go ... and in the event I get stuck in the mud again, I got 2 sets.
If you're on the fence about running chains, don't be. I have a north facing driveway that turns into a skate rink. One set of chains allows me to plow uphill, downhill, sideways, or whichever way I need to go. Absolute game changer. Only suggestion is to get yourself a better tool for the turnbuckle. A set of metal chisels from HF is $8. They are heavy duty and easy to throw in a door pocket. Pair it with an adjustable wrench and you'll thank me later.
Work as described
Hi, just had a chance to fit my chains, they fit great! The tensioners were also great! Thank you to Kelly for answering a few questions and taking my order.I do some ice fishing & the chains will help getting our ice house off the lake when situations change! Thanks again!
Purchased this for our trip to Alaska. Never had to use them but it was nice to have them just in case. Before we left I installed one and found it easy to install.
Ordered some vbar chains and the company contacted me the next day to let me know they were back ordered a month. I needed a set of chains to have in case things hit the fan in the mountains. They talked me into ordering another less aggressive set that were in stock. Standard shipping was delayed to to winter weather by ups so they showed up 3 days later. Tried them on that night and they fit like any other cam chain I've used. Install is less then 2 minutes if you know what you are doing. They appear to be stainless so I hope they don't rust after my first use like a pair of chains I bought from a different company. I would buy from etrailer again and am waiting on the vbar set to be delivered. If you need chains in a 4x4 truck you are probably stuck already and if no one else is around, you will want the vbars.
Quick shipping.... good service.... great product! I found hard to find chains for my tire size 285/65/20 for my ram 3500.... they fit very nicely on tires....bring on the snow and mud!
Chains fit real good and were easy to install on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, just had to make sure chains were on correctly and also tight so it wouldn’t scratch rims when tires spin. When it came to using the chains on snow and icy roads they got the job done. I recommend this product.
I test fit them today when they came in. Now I know where exactly to place them so the clamp isn't hitting the rim, as seen in the photo. They are heavy duty and bigger than my previous set. Also, to anyone interested in these, make sure to get heavy duty tie-straps to bind the end of the chain to itself so it is not flapping and smacking your shocks.I will do another review in a couple of months after using these in the mountains.
Well designed. Installs easily in minutes. Where were cams 20 years ago? :)
Love these chains! I have a Jeep JK with 285/70 17s on and I run these all the way around for snow jeeping. The tensioning "doughnuts" are awesome and I have yet to throw a chain, even when romping on it hard. My buddy with a 4-Runner bought vbar chains without the doughnuts and threw them quickly on our last run, while mine ran flawlessly.
Bought two sets of these chains for my 2018 Ram 2500. My tires are LT285/60R20 and these chains fit like a charm.
Very easy to get onto the vehicle and off of it. Takes about 15 minutes to put on all 4 tires by myself.
Used these in northern NH for a hunting trip. We had about 18-inches of snow on the ground and we traveled logging roads the whole time. These chains got my trunk up a 45° incline covered in fresh 18" of snow. I was amazed that we weren't sliding all over the place. These things grab the snow/ice like claws.
I've recommended these chains to other folks because they are great. They are HEAVY chains, I think about 20+ pounds each. But they are serious chains for serious conditions.
Very, VERY happy with these chains.
etrailer shipping was very fast, ordered on a Friday morning, shipped the same day and recieved on Tuesday of following week (3 working days). Installed on tires, perfect fit. I drove around 2 miles to see how they worked, done what they were suppose to. My only disappointment was "made in China", other than that I am happy with the purchase. Installed on a 2016 Ram 2500HD with 285/60R/20
Thank you etrailer for the fast shipping.i could have never made it home to our property after this last snow and ice storm. You guys/gals have come through on every order I have placed. Thanks again, I will be doing future business with your company.
Have let used them yet but customer service is awesome !
Perfect fit for my truck tires. The cam lock makes adjustment easy and gives me the confidence needed for the upcoming winter season.
Good tire chains for the price. I use them on all 4 wheels of my plow truck 6 months out of the year. Turns my truck into a tractor. Make sure you zip tie or cut off any excess chain at the adjuster on the inside so you don't tear up your brake hoses. Take your time fitting them. Put them on evenly, drive slowly around your driveway, readjust. Drive again slowly around your driveway, readjust. I like to put my tire pressures down to 20lbs when I put them on, then air them up after. Makes for a nice tight fit. Just takes one rotation with something loose to end whatever you're doing. Tons of damage if they come loose. Ask me how I know =P Take your time, you'll love them.
