Hub-Piloted Wheel
This wheel is hub piloted, which means that it centers on the hub, not the lugs. The wheel requires the use of flange nuts (sold separately) for installation.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
This steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and finished on both sides with baked-on DuPont powder paint.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster 17 and a half inch by six and three quarter inch white modular wheel with a positive offset and has an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is a heavy duty steel wheel, it has the eight hole modular design which is sturdy and corrosion. This is a design, you can see it has the eight round holes that go around the wheel. These are designed for use on trucks, buses, and trailers. Now on this wheel, they do use a three step finishing process, which will first include a zinc phosphate bath, then an eco-primer, and then a white powder coat on both sides of the wheel.
This wheel is a hub piloted wheel, which means it'll require an exact fit of the center hole right here, this pilot hole to the hub on your vehicle. The pilot hole diameter on this is 4.76 inches. Now, hub piloted wheels do require the use of flange nuts for installation. Those we do sell separately on our website. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product.
And the size of the flange nut that's used is five eights of an inch by 18. Now this wheel does have a slight positive offset of 0.08 inches, and a positive offset means that it'll move this wheel and tire closer to the center line of the trailer. If you notice, they do include a high pressure metal valve stem already installed in there. Now this wheel does meet the SAE J1204 Standards. A few measurements on this.
We talked about the diameter on it being 17 and a half inches, and when you measure it, it's the inside measurement. So if we take our tape measure and if we go all the way across, you'll be able to see it's measuring 17 and a half inches for the diameter. The width will be the same way. You're measuring bead seat to bead seat, so inside the inside. So if we go right across, six and three quarter inches for the width, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.
You can see the holes right here. If you wanna measure the bolt pattern on the wheel, that's an even number of lugs. In this case, eight. It's pretty easy because the lug holes are right across from each other. So when you go to measure it, all you have to do is pick one of the holes like this one, measure from the center of this hole, directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this one, it'll measure six and a half inches, so that means it's an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And the weight capacity on this wheel, which will be stamped in the back here, is 6,005 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this Taskmaster 17 point a half inch by six and three quarter inch white modular wheel with a positive offset, and the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern..

Fast order process. Fast shipping. Excellent quality product. Keep up the good work.
I'm rating this trailer wheel as Excellent for a few reasons. First, the cost of the wheel is low for the quality of the product. Second, the wheel has kept its color and shine for over a year of substantial use. Third, the durability is awesome! We travel too many areas with tough terrain and the wheels need to be strong enough to handle the hits that come with the areas we access. These wheels do just that and do it well.
Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
Overall good looking wheel. Price was good for what I was looking for. Box was dinged up a bit although I expected that to happen, something that heavy is bound to beat up the box. Paint was very nice. Having the tire installed today and we will see how nice it looks when I pick it up.
The wheels arrived in perfect condition in a timely manner. Excellent service, I plan to order braking systems tomorrow from your company. Thank You!
Great packaging quicker delivery than expected. It's an identical wheel that I have on my Ski-Doo trailer. Perfect spare.
Love the rims and tire. I have 4 more that I use on my food truck and they are great.
Lost our spare somehow on one of our trailers. Needed a new rim for a new spare and was able to order it on e-trailer. Exact match pin stripe and all. Could not find rim elsewhere.
It's a cheap steel wheel. It's black. It goes round and round on my trailer. What more could you ask for?
I wanted black wheels instead of the white ones that came on the trailer. I liked the extra rust prevention provided in the description. I have just received them so they are not installed yet but the finish and style look amazing, the online pictures don't do them justice.
They've worked great fit perfectly put them on a stock trailer
Just got the new tire mounted on the rim! Now I'm looking for lug nuts and bolts for a heavy duty tilt trailer 8 hole lug. I'm also looking for a brushed aluminum 16" rim with the identical pattern as the one I just purchased. The steel rim will then become my spare.
Thank you
Exactly as advertised. Worked perfect for rebuilding a 1990 boat trailer.
Just what I was looking for, and reasonably priced. Prompt shipping.
The only lights that will fit on our trailer. Glad you have them in stock!
Wheel size was right and shipping was great. I put a spare on it for my RV.
Nice quality wheel, great finish and I like that the metal valve stem is included.
This has been an unfortunate on-line learning experience for me. I thought I had finally found a set of rims that fit my 1972 Ford F250. I entered my vehicle and read the line that stated...
Heavy-duty steel wheel with modular design is sturdy and corrosion resistant
Designed for use on trucks, buses, and trailers
Even though "use on trucks" is stated, these wheels are only approved for trailers. When I sought to return the wheels, I was surprised to learn that I would be out $[XX] for shipping on a $[XX] purchase. So even though etrailer is willing to refund the cost of the wheels, I will be out a couple of hundred dollars, with nothing to show.
Buyer beware! No more on-line orders for me. The risk is the worth the cost. That is what I have learned from this transaction.
Works like it should. No complaints.
Website is easy to use and service was excellent!
I mean, it a wheel. Wish they would have gotten my whole order right. 10% higher priced than [online vendor] with worse return communication
