When heavy loads cause the rear to sag, steering and braking can feel uneven. These SumoSprings helper springs add 1,400 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and steady. They help your factory suspension handle extra weight so your vehicle stays balanced, your steering feels solid, and your headlights stay aimed where they should.

Not every load is the same, and these springs adjust as you go. With lighter loads, they compress easily for soft engagement and a smoother ride. As weight increases, they can compress by as much as 80 percent to provide firm support and reduce bottoming out. The progressive design helps absorb bumps and road vibration so you get a comfortable ride whether you’re hauling tools or towing a camper.
When curves or uneven loads try to push your vehicle around, each spring works on its own to keep things balanced. They help reduce body roll and sway so your vehicle feels stable through corners, crosswinds, or when you park on uneven ground. That independent action also helps manage off-center loads without leaning or rocking from side to side.
Built from tough microcellular urethane, these springs hold up through oil, salt, and UV exposure. They operate reliably from -25 F to 200 F and compress vertically with minimal side expansion so nearby parts stay safe even in tighter spaces. And since there’s no air system to maintain or tubing to run, they stay maintenance-free mile after mile.
You don’t need a lift or specialty tools to get these working. The kit includes two jounce-style springs, spacers, mounting plates, and hardware for a straightforward no-drill installation. In just a short time, you’ll have extra suspension support that’s ready to take on towing or hauling without constant adjustments or upkeep.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle. Now these are a custom fit application folks. I need you to double check the fit guide here at etrailer.com. On our homepage, there's a My Vehicle or Vehicle Information tab.
Enter things like year make and model, sub models, those kind of things, bed length. Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, helper springs, if you don't know, basically upgrade, in this case, your rear vehicle suspension, and they're gonna improve driver control and comfort by keeping your vehicle level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load. Now these help absorb bumps and shocks. They minimize sway.
They are what's called progressive load control, meaning the springs are gonna compress according to the weight of your cargo. So maybe you have a light load and they only compress a little bit, but then when you get a heavy load, they can compress as much as 80%. And they work independently of each other so they can compensate for off center loads. Maybe you got a camper in the bed of the truck or something of that nature. They are made of durable microcellular urethane.
They work in temperatures from a chilly negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit to a balmy 200 degrees Fahrenheit. They resist damage caused by oils, road salt, UV rays, and they minimize or they give you minimal lateral expansion, meaning these compress vertically instead of side to side, so they're not gonna be easily damaged when operating in the tight spaces under your vehicle. Now what I like about this kind of helper spring is there's no airbags, no air hoses, no compressor, no gauge in the cab to run and worry about. It's a one and done a simple no drill installation. It's utilizing your factory holes in the frames and your factory components.
Now that being said, you've got four spacer blocks in this kit that's gonna give you a maximum of two per side if needed. The instructions are gonna tell you for your year make and mode which one or ones or impossible, maybe none, that you're gonna use. These top plates that come with it and this top bar and all these screws. You're probably gonna use one or two of those screws, and the rest are just different lengths. Again, depending on the size of your vehicle, which one you need for your particular install. Now the weight capacity of these at 50% compression is 1400 pounds. And again, folks, these are the SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for your rear axle. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. And as always, stay safe while you're towing, please.

SumoSprings are amazing! They're so easy because you can install them and forget and when you're towing they'll do their job without needing any extra work. What are you planning on towing?

Definitely less moving parts to worry about than airbags :) The install looks great! Are you hitched up in the photo to test out the springs or were you actually on your way to the water?

Thanks for your feedback Chris, this is valuable insight for future shoppers! Good to hear they're getting the job done as like you wanted. It's always nice when you don't have to spend the first few minutes at your campsite, picking up everything off the floor of your camper. Any upcoming adventures planned?
