Heavy trailer, camper, or bed loads can leave your truck squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.
Typical Alpha HD Pro installation shown. Vehicle-specific brackets vary by application.
When trailer weight, a slide-in camper, or a heavy bed load settles your truck onto its rear suspension, squat and extra body movement can make the truck feel less controlled. The two adjustable rear air springs add supplemental support to help reduce sag, sway, and bottoming while letting you tune the suspension to the weight you're carrying. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you can add only the pressure the load calls for instead of treating maximum pressure as the default. Your truck can sit closer to level and remain more controlled while carrying or towing substantial weight.
A truck that tows one day and runs empty the next doesn't need the same rear-suspension support all the time. Internal jounce bumpers let you add air when your trailer, camper, or cargo is aboard, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi once that load comes off. Those internal jounces also protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up. You get the support your truck needs under weight without having to keep air in the bags simply to protect them when you're driving empty.
Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your truck. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working truck.
You'll start by measuring your truck's stock ride height and checking tire-to-frame clearance before raising the rear and removing the wheels for working access. The factory jounce bumpers are cut away to make room for the air spring assemblies, which mount over the leaf springs using lower U-bolts and upper brackets that clamp around the frame. Once the springs are positioned and aligned, you'll secure the emergency-brake cable for proper clearance, then route the braided stainless steel air lines with enough clearance and slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.
The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old if your towing or hauling setup changes frequently. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at a Pacbrake Alpha HD Pro Airbag Suspension Kit with included internal jounces, and everything is a stainless steel hardware. So, folks, this is a custom fit application. Let's say it fits a 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra. Make sure you're double checking that with the fit guide over at etrailer.com to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time.
Now, if you're looking, you're probably noticing not everything is here on the table today. I just don't have all the room I need to put everything out. So I do wanna throw up a picture. Here's what all the brackets and everything look like out of the box, spread out. There is some other stuff not pictured here as well.
There's some more airline that's just your regular nylon airline, I believe it is. And then some other brackets and stuff that aren't stainless steel, but you probably won't use everything that's in the box. They give you both whenever you get the stainless steel kit as well. So just keep that in mind, make sure you're double checking the instructions. Be sure you're getting the right stuff the first time, and make sure you're orientated correctly.
So as you can see, you've got the stainless steel braided airlines. Those are coming off the bottom of this particular kit. And then you have the brackets just loosely fit together here, just to kind of show you what they look like, more or less, on the vehicle. (coughs) Excuse me. And inside of this bag is an internal jounce.
These are rated for 5,000 pounds capacity, of leveling capacity. And that jounce is gonna mean one of two things. You can run these at zero PSI, so it's not gonna hurt the bags. And also, that jounce side of there, it's gonna prevent everything from bottoming out. So it's gonna give you a smoother ride when you have those heavier loads on there as well, just from that extra little boost, integrated internal jounce inside of there. Now, what's neat about airbags, if you've never used them before, you can inflate or deflate side to side if you want, and then you can level it perfectly for your particular load and your needs. And this is gonna help with side to side body roll. It's gonna help with those kind of things when you're turning. It's gonna help keep everything nice and level, and suspended nice and safely. Now, as you can see, they've got a nice hammer tone finish powder coat on the brackets and everything. And then once again, everything that's hardware, and even these plates and the braided lines, are all stainless steel, so you shouldn't have to worry about rust, corrosion, or anything for many, many, many years, if ever. Now, the other thing not pictured here is the Schrader valves. Those are also stainless steel. Those come in the kit as well. And again, folks, this is a great option for you if you wanna get back up to level. So maybe you're squatting in the rear end. This will help get you back up to stock right height, keep your loads level, that's gonna keep traction back on the front axle where it needs to be. Keep those headlights down on the road in a safe location as well. As always, if you have any questions about this or any other products, reach out to us here at etrailer. We're more than happy to answer any questions and assist you when we can. And if you don't wanna tackle the installation, we have a dealer locator tool on our website where you'll simply enter your zip code based on where you wanna get it installed at, and we can help find someone in that area that's associated with us, and get you set up for that as well. That's gonna wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

I am very sorry to hear that these did not work for you John. I see on both the Pacbrake site and our site they are listed to not work with the Adaptive Ride Control, do you have that on your Silverado 1500? I am trying to get to the bottom of this so I can get the information corrected on both sites if needed.
