This Dutton-Lainson industrial winch is designed for heavy-duty vertical lifting operations. Crank handle clockwise to lift the load, counter-clockwise to lower the load. Automatic brake stops the load when hand cranking stops.

The previously owned winch an import from Country (C) that I owned and it failed miserably. The tolerances in the winch were way below par in quality standards. The brakes had failed so I had no confidence in the unit at all from a safety perspective.
So I decided to get a replacement and I found Dutton-Lainson winches on
etrailer.com. WOW made in the USA! great product and tight tolerances designed and built with quality in mind. etrailer was great to deal with, shipped on time and well packaged.

I'm replacing a B2500 that has been in use for 20 years on a pontoon boat lift. Never under cover and is still working, although it's looking a bit worn after all these years.
I got the winch this morning. bolted it up to my boat hoist. it does what I needed.the dealer I bought the hoist from told me to buy a new one. the winch works great. Steve
