Combination Lights for Trailers Over 80" Wide
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.

Used these to replace the LED lights that came on my trailer. They provide a much softer light than the LEDs and have replaceable bulbs so I won't get stranded on a trip when the LEDs go out. In most states, the police are allowed to pull you over and ticket you if a single diode goes out in an LED light.

I've had two experiences with Peterson lights on my trailers. In one case, I replaced the entire trailer's lighting. In another case, I replaced only two lights. In both cases, I LOVED the fact that the replacements were identical and didn't require drilling etc. to install. Please PLEASE keep it going.

It was difficult to tell if this was a direct replacement to the damaged light or not. Turns out not. No gasket included to seal lens to body. Odd push connector rather than spade connectors. Not really appropriate for a saltwater submersible trailer.

This light is used on my Roadmaster tow dolly for the passenger side rear tail light, stop/turn light and rear side clearance light. I only needed to replace the side lens, but I could not find it sold separately. All-in-all, the etrailer.com price for the whole assembly was reasonable and it even included the light bulbs, which I didn't expect. It was pretty easy to find on the etrailer.com web site, the shipping cost was reasonable and the delivery time was quick. What more could you ask for.

Easy to order and just what I needed. Problem is they arrived broken. Your idiot shipping people put fragile plastic tail light lenses in a soft envelope rather than a box. Of course they got broken! Now I have to take my time to make phone calls, explain it, photograph them, email information, and wait, wait, wait for what I hope will be a properly shipped and intact unit. I really expected better from etraIler.

These lights are non-submersible. We do indeed have some lights that are submersible, like part # STL008RB.
