Now we can go to the lake and didn't have to bring the big truck. I did have to buy an M12x1.25 tap to chase the threads on my Pontiac Vibe as the holes were rusted a little bit on my frame. Overall quick project and very pleased
As advertised. I had zero issues installing this. I did take the recommendation and use the 12 x 1.25mm tap to clean out the rust in the holes first. Worked like a champ. Bolted up with no issues and works great. I also installed the 118458 wiring kit. That was another awesome product. It was plug and play. Only had to drill a hole to mount the ground wire. This is my second hitch purchase from etrailer and have always been happy with the products.
It's a perfect fit for my 2005 Pontiac Vibe. On issues with clearance of the muffler. I am not as strong as I once was, so I used my jack to hold it in place. Your video is excellent.
Install was easy on my 2003 Vibe. Tucks up neatly underneath and doesn't hang down too low. Only complaint is that the finish isn't very durable and the coating will eventually flake off and cause it to rust.
It fit perfect, I installed it in about 20 minutes.

The hitch receiver itself is a little tight to the exhaust pipe so I needed to apply some heat resistant tape at the point where they rubbed.
Hitch mounts fine but sits very close to muffler which allows muffler to touch and vibrate against the inside stem of the receiver. Had to grind stem back quite a bit and repainted. Still had vibration noise from edge of muffler rubbing against main hitch pipe. Had to affix a rubber stopper to the hitch pipe to stop direct hitch-muffler contact. Other buyers seemed to have same problem. Would not buy from etrailer again as this should never happen.
Hitch went on well after cleaning some caulk material out of one of my car frames bolt holes. I have not used the hitch yet but plan to use with a Hollywood cargo bicycle rack. Appreciate the great video instructions. Exhaust seems to have plenty of clearance on my 2003 Pontiac vibe. I also used the recommended wire brush.
Hitch was in excellent shape and delivered on time.
After reading some reviews I purchased a rotary brush for my cordless drill and a 12mmx1.25 tap. Ran the rotary brush through the weldnuts in the frame and followed up by running the tap with some WD40 through.
After that the hitch installed perfectly.

Bought this for my Pontiac Vibe. I like that it tucks up nicely under the bumper. It's not super visible like other hitches for the Vibe. Powder coating seems durable. I had to buy longer bolts though. The ones supplied by Curt are a tad too short in my opinion.
Hitch bolts up quickly in five minutes.But....hitch contacts exhaust in three places.will have to remount muffler one inch forward and take one inch out of exhaust pipe to make clearance for the hitch.Very poor engineering on curts part.would not recommend this hitch.
I was very pleasantly surprised when my trailer hitch package arrived. As described, it would have only taken 30 minutes to install. In my case, due to no fault of etrailer, my install took a bit longer due to my mounting holes had significant rust that needed removal. Once that was done, the install was as easy as described, a beautiful fit, and a very high quality product. I would recommend this to all my friends.

install video was ok only thing that i didnt agree with was how they told you to just run the bolts in if the whole were rusty. that is a making for a big problem. do your self a favor and spend the 5 buck on a tap. save yourself the chance of breaking a bolt off in rusty threads. the size for my 2006 vibe was 12mm x 1.25. witch you can find at napa under sparkplug taps.
I recently purchased a Curt receiver hitch for my Pontiac Vibe. It was a perfect fit and took less than 30 minutes to install. Great product, great price and fast shipping from etrailer.com. Excellent service.
hitch fit perfect and looks great, shipping was quick! recommend getting a tap and chase the hole prior to install to clear the holes, i live up north and did this but cant get toque spec due to rust ! may need to weld hitch to car as a safety measure ! otherwise this product i would buy again
The hitch appears well made and it fit my car easily without having to drop the exhaust. But due to how close it is to the muffler/exhaust it makes my car sound louder.
Listen to "mike" above and buy a tap. At first I tried to do with out it and that was a pain. Be sure to go slow and easy with the tap; google "cleaning threads with a tap" and you will find plenty of advice on "how to".
Now then, the hitch. It was a tight fit on my 2007 Vibe, but a fit without any modification.
If a hitch can be cool, then this one is! Great look, great finish.

Good product. Only challenge on installation was removing bolts that had been in place for 12 years. Once I got them out the installation was easy
Great hitch! Mounts like it is supposed to. I really like the way it fits flush up against the bottom of the bumper. Some of the other hitches I looked dropped a lot lower and would really reduce ground clearance.
Fit well and fun to install, especially if you have ramps or a car lift available. Don't forget the tap to clean out the bolt holes on your car.
Product came fast and wrapped well. The holes in the car frame must have the rust removed with a tap. Total install time was 30 minutes and was very easy. Very happy with this product!!
very easy to installcame quickly and went on in 15 minutes. Wood blocks help support one end while loose bolting other side to unibody.
