Question:
Draw Tite is classified as class I and Curt is classified as class II. When I look at the specs they have matching specs: 200lbs tongue weight and 2000lbs towing. What makes the Curt a class II and it only bolts with 4 bolts? Draw Tite has 6 bolts.

Hitch manufacturers determine the Class rating for a given hitch. The amount of hardware used to install a hitch isn't a factor. With that said Curt decided that hitch # C12234 will be fine to use with Class II accessories and gave it a Class II rating. Their hitch for the 2006 Pontiac Vibe GT models, # C12221, is also a Class II but it has been tested and rated for a higher tongue weight and gross trailer weight capacity 250/2500 pounds.
If you are using the hitch for a bike rack or cargo carrier then I recommend going with the Class II Curt hitch because if you go with a Class I you are limited to 2 bikes and to carriers rated for use in a Class I trailer hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
