Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.
Features:
Specs:
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Very nice quality hitch and wiring harness. 24 Subaru Crosstrek. Easy half hour install on the hitch and 10 minute plug and play on the trailer harness. Very helpful folks at etrailer and super fast shipping
Easy installation. I have a brand new Crosstrek and did the install by myself laying in the driveway. I didn't just drop the muffler hangers, I removed the muffler.
Hitch seems solid and well made.
Got the May sale discount so price was excellent.

Wow a '25 Crosstrek is pretty brand spanking new! So happy to hear the install went well. Thanks for sharing what you did to make it easier - that's helpful info for others to know! Photo looks great :) Are you going to any mountain bike trails with the new hitch?
I gave this 4 stars bc Draw- Tite could have supplied better hardware, longer bolts, and not weak zinc nuts. I feel that the 1/4 thick spacer is too thick as the hitch does not contact the vehicle all the way from front to rear. No matter how much sealer you trim away, rhe square spacer block still rests on the metal seam. It took a lot more torque to full compress the pieces, flattening the recessed metal rail. No way is 50ftlbs adequate.
I should have taken another posters advice, and bought better hardware before starting this install.
Overall the receiver itself is no doubt heavy duty. By boats are less capacity than the hitch provides. I'm more concerned with the way the receiver is mounted with mediocre hardware. Otherwise it's OK.
FWIW, the hitch is a bit low, even for the wilderness model.

I appreciate your feedback Andrew and thanks for including a photo with it. We will be here and happy to help with your next upgrade!
The hitch is great, and the installation video is very helpful.
The hitch came pretty well packaged but still had shifted and broken through the box in some places causing some paint chipping on the edge of some of the flat metal brackets.
I was installing on a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I removed the muffler to install the hitch. Wish I'd lubricated the rubber hangers to help slip them off of the muffler, but I overlooked that recommendation in the video.
You definitely need a universal joint on the socket to get at the rear passenger-side nut with a torque wrench.
If you remove the muffler and don't want to use the old bolts and nuts to reinstall it, make sure you have the new bolts and nuts before you start. They were surprisingly not in stock at any of the local dealers.
Overall, I'm really happy with it, and etrailer has been very communicative.

Still happy with it after a year!
To start, I think the hitch is excellent! Well made & solid. Install directions in the install video are clear, and the little whips included in the kit to run the bolts and washers through frame are a GREAT help. I did the whole install by myself, although I would HIGHLY recommend having a second set of hands! I muddled through with the help of a floor jack/jackstands and a block of wood to hold up the muffler, with a scissor jack for fine positioning of the exhaust pipes to get the rubber hangers on and off. You WILL need lube for those! I pretty much just followed the video, but there are a couple things to take note of:
1. There is a weld point covered in putty adjacent to where the back of the hinge is bolted. depending on how much is there you may have to scrape some off for the mount to set in properly. (see pic)
2. The mounting bolt on the passenger side next to the bumper is hard to get to, as you see in the install video. You absolutely WILL need a swivel joint, and it is still difficult to get at especially if you want to torque it properly. The bolt is rather long, and I strongly suggest you use 3/8 in drives and extensions, with 6 point 11/16" impact sockets. Get shallow, deep and ESPECIALLY a semi-deep socket for that passenger bolt. I didn't have a semi deep, and ended up cutting about 3/16" off that bolt with a multitool once it was installed so I could tighten it down properly. Deep socket wouldn't fit in the angle, and shallow wouldn't reach the nut!..lol.
3. Using a universal joint when tightening a nut effects the torque. You will have LOWER actual torque than the reading that you set it to, IF you are using a swivel or universal. Here is a good video on how to compensate: https://youtu.be/pl7O7r7Rab0?si=bvCOuvPqNR_kysK9
Finally, I'd like to thank the people at etrailer for responding so quickly to a couple issues I had with my order. They straitened it out and made sure I was happy. Thanks y'all! Would definitely order from these people again.
Trailer hitch receiver is great. I highly recommend this receiver. The only thing I didn't like about this purchase was the flimsy box the receiver was sent in. Upon receipt of the delivery, the box was mangled with lots of the paint scraped off the receiver. I sent an email to etrailer about this but never heard back from them. Hence the 2 star review. Instead of going through the trouble of returning the unit, I did the extra work of sanding, prepping, and repainting the receiver to protect it from corrosion. The price I paid was basically the same as the [online vendor] price. I may give [online vendor] a try next time to see if their delivery experience is better. Since I was asked for this review a year after delivery, I no longer have the photographs of the mangled box.
Great product !! made my life a lot easier was installed for a 2 bike carrier. Held up well over the winter!! Will be removing it to install it on a new crosstrek this week!!
Your installation videos sold me on your product, but the actual installation went even easier than I envisioned. The Draw-Tight trailer hitch worked perfectly for my vehicle.
And after paying for trailer hitches to be installed for many vehicles, this is the first time I installed one myself and saved a significant amount doing so. For anyone with basic mechanical skills, a torque wrench and a basic socket set I highly recommend your company and the hitch and wiring harness I installed.
Accompanying photos might help someone else.

Quite pleased with hitch, perfect for my Crosstrek.
Overall, the hitch is great. It’s heavy-duty, and was relatively simple to attach to my Crosstrek (there were two of us working on attaching the hitch, so it seemed simple). It’s very sturdy, and does the job. For reference, I have only used this for a bike rack, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use it to haul something heavier.
After shopping around went with the Draw-Tite hitch based on reviews and great price from etrailer.com. Hitch arrived earlier than estimated and installation was simple with the provided instructions. The installation videos were key in making the install go smoothly with a couple tips that came in handy. Couldn't be happier with the finished product which is providing more than enough support/security for a 2" Yakima Holdup bike rack

A year later and hitch is as solid as when installed. No hassle, no worries.
Has served well for the past year. The shop I used for the install had no issues and been towing a bike hitch with it for a full season. It’s on an Impreza so I don’t tow much else

That's great this has come in handy and held up so well for you Lyra! Where do you like to take your bike to ride?
Works great, looks good. I installed it myself with the use of a floor jack to hold most of the weight up while I fiddled with the mounting hardware. I've only used it for light duty operations on my 2019 Crosstrek - bike carrier, cargo carrier and truck bed extender used vertically to hold the back of a long kayak. 1 year later hardware is still tight and no rust. 5 stars.

Still great. No issues at all.
It was easy enough to install will an extra person and ive hauled motorcycles on trailers without issue. Its been great for my crosstrek.
Great hitch, about two hours start to finish. The hitch is very strong but the car is not. DO NOT TRY TO PULL ANYTHING!!! Great as a bicycle or cargo rack receiver but again this is not the vehicle to use for towing anything as the unibody frame the hitch bolts up to is very thin and I fear it will just break free if you stress it to much. Again a great hitch if you are not going to pull a trailer. Only used a handful of wrenches 14mm X 2 and 11/16" for the main bolts. I removed the muffler altogether rather than do it the way shown in the video of lowering it on a ratchet strap. Only two bolts and three rubber hangers. I did not use ant type of lube on the rubber muffler hangers as oil and rubber are not a good mix. With just a little effort the muffler came loose. The other thing that makes this hitch stand out from the other options is that you do not have to drill or enlarge any of the original holes in the cars frame. VERY GOOD FOR A BICYCLE OR CARGO RACK BUT DO NOT TRY TO PULL ANYTHING BUT A VERY LIGHT TRAILER!!!! THE CAR IS NOT MADE FOR IT.

According to Subaru, the Crosstrek has a 1500 lb towing capacity. Although the hitch has a higher capacity, youll be limited to the capacity of the lowest rated component which is the vehicle in this case.
Installed the hitch in just under an hour. Went on just as the instructions said it would. Everything from the ease of ordering, to the on time delivery to the videos and instructions was great. Would guy recommend etrailer!
Heading out this weekend with the mountain bikes and can’t wait!

The hitch has been great. Granted, I use it for a bike rack and a cargo box. No issues.
Ordering was easy with online tools. Received the hitch very quickly, before expected. After watching the video telling us how to install, installation went very smoothly. Able to install in well under 1 hour. Haven't used it, installation looks good, as in the picture. Will try it soon.

Still love the Drawtite hitch. It was easy to install and is a great hitch.
Excellent product from a great company. Install on our 2024 Crosstrek went exceedingly well. Don’t have to lower the muffler as the video states. Great experience all around
Easy install on a 2024 Crosstrek.
Installed it on my 2019 Impreza and it looks great took me 1hour to install. If I have the proper tools probably take me 20 min. I did not have to shave the hole to make it bigger to install the mounts...great hitch!!!!

I would not recommend this hitch for impreza. The hitch is to low and if you hit a small bump it bottoms out and hits the bump. Another thing if you use a bike rack the angle of the hits makes it even lower when you get in parking lots that is angled you will bottom out. For impreza owners I would not recommend it. Its been a year for me and I removed my bike rack because I cant use it because it is to low. I wish the sales rep when I talked to him would have recommend another 2” rack than this one.
The hitch is well-constructed and relatively easy to install. The accompanying video tutorial is very helpful for the installation process. I am impressed with the ordering process, especially the step-by-step updates I received. My hitch arrived on time, and I am very happy with the product.
I’m very happy with the Draw-Tite 2” trailer hitch receiver installed on a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek.
My main reason for choosing it over the competitors was the added strength, even thought all I use it for is a bike rack it’s good to know if I ever need to tow anything the receiver could handle it. All aspects of the the receiver show quality in assembly with a durable coating. Installation was easy! Didn’t have to lift the vehicle, just basic tools.
Shipping was FAST too!
The Drawtite rack I purchased from etrailer is pretty awesome! I bought it instead of some of the others offered for three reasons. 1) Tongue weight and trailer weight specifications are substantially higher. 2) It tucks up really close to the rear valence so I don't lose clearance, but also provides extra protection, a bit like a rock tail (not that I am likely to ever need it...). 3) It is a super sturdy piece of kit. I mean the thing looks and feels like a piece of ballistic hardware.
Working with etrailer was a great experience. Their videos explaining the features and installation for all of the receiver hitches available for my CrossTrek made it easy to choose the right one for my needs. Ordering was simple. Pricing was competitive. Shipping was fast, and free is I had wanted. I opted for the $14.95 3 to 5 day shipping option and my hitch arrived in 4 days, which made it easy for me to schedule some time on a friends lift. (Yes, it is nice to have a friend who has a lift in his garage... I highly recommend that you get one... ;-)
The only thing I would recommend to etrailer is that they do a better job of wrapping the frame attachment flanges for shipping. Both flanges broke through the bottom of box. Not a big deal because the thing isn't going bend from being dropped, but it is a little bit of a bummer to have my new hitch have scratches in the paint.
I highly recommend both DrawTite and etrailer.
I was able to install this hitch receiver shortly after it arrived. I have used it extensively and have been very satisfied with how easy it was to install and the extra capabilities it has given my car.
Very pleased with this hitch. Construction and quality are terrific. I will be using it mostly with a Yakima “Dr. Tray” bicycle carrier and occasionally with a small utility trailer. Installation of the hitch was relatively easy and took about 1Hr and 30 min. ETrailer’s video was a great help. Removing the muffler as recommended really helped give ease of access. The one part that proved to be a bit difficult was the rear most mounting bolt and nut on the passenger side of the Crosstrek (the mounting bolt without the spacer block). The length of that bolt required me to use a deep socket and that made it very difficult to fit the torque wrench in place. The other three bolts were quite easy to get at. The wiring harness installation was super easy and took only about 10 min.
Put this hitch on my new 2019 Crosstrek, I will confirm that it fits the 2019 model year. Liked that I did not have to expand holes in frame. Dropping muffler wasn't hard, was going to remove muffler like shown in video, but bolts where super tight and wouldn't budge. Definitely need 2 people to install or need something to lift hitch into place. Hitch is too heavy to do it by yourself. My 24 year old son bench pressed it into position while I put nuts on bolts. I kept wires on each bolt to make lining up them up with hitch holes easier, then removed them slowly as I installed each bolt. I did have to go out and buy a deep socket for one of the back nuts. For the other back nut next to the exhaust pipe I was able to use 1/2" drive socket along with my Harbor Freight 1/2" drive torque wrench, tightening this nut is the challenge as there isn't that much room. I used a 3/8" drive socket and torque wrench for the front nuts. I got this hitch for the new Yakima Singlespeed bike rack that just got. This is the third hitch that I have bought from etrailer.com, great pricing and service.

Still works great. Very handy with a hitch rack or hitch hauler for my dirtbike
