Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

etrailer.com Technical Support

TRAILER HITCH FOR UPLANDER WAS EASY TO INSTALL

by:

Recieved product promptly. Installation was just as the instructional video depicted. Saved me about $150.00 over what I would have paid to a local retailer/installer. Woould have no reservations recommeneding to others.

by:

This took longer to install than the 40 minutes they have listed on the website. I can understand it is faster/easier to drill and remove bolts when the vehicle is on a hoist. All-in-all it took me about 1 1/2 hrs. but it was pretty easy.

Montana HitchProducts arived on time and complete. Recommend etrailer

Excellent service. the product was delivered before the scheduled date. Emailing me info about shipping--- good job

by:

Hitch installation was easy and quick with no surprises! Price was excellent and the shipment was outstanding! We had a time constraint. My customer service rep was extremely helpful in answering all my questions, and delivered as promised. Will definitely buy from this company again and recommend them to others.

by:

Part description and fit as exactly described - Installation a breeze with just a few hand tools

by:

Went in like a charm. The directions for installation were clear and precise. It took less than 2 hours for completed install. I had a few concerns about the weight and wondered if welding was needed and my son assured me that it was stable ans secure.

by:

Overall, very happy with this product and its ease of assembly. I did have to lengthen one of the slots in the hitch to make room for the bolt to go through to the weld nut, but, other than that, the instructions worked and the unit is solid.

by:

The instructions to put on the hitch were horrible! VERY Confusing. I have put on several different hitches on many different makes and models, this was anything but easy. I had to watch the video to install this twice. Like i said i'm very capable of installing this and many others, but this was by far the most difficult. Needs better Instructions!!

by:

My order was shipped and received quickly. Installation following the provided videos and instructions was very easy.

by:

Wow!!I am very pleased with etrailer.com, this was my first order and I can't say enough about the quality and professionalism. My receiver/wiring arrived as promised, the install was easy and it all fit as it should have!!

by:

The product was easy to install and the online installation video at eTrailer.com was invaluable. Great service eTrailer! Thank you.

2007 Buick Terraza

I recently installed the "Hidden Hitch" on my 2007 Buick Terraza. The install kit made the installation a breeze. And the T-one wiring kit was amazingly simple.
Thanks for making this project uneventful and a money saver.

Great product and very easy to install. Online installation video was very helpful and all of the installation materials were excellent! Customer service was excellent as well. They kept me informed every step of the way during the shipping process. Fast shipping as well. I would recommend this company to anyone!

by:

light kit brake/signal wires backwards.kit for hitch had to drill and sales add said no drilling and 30 min install. 1st time installers can expect 45-60 minutes. have bought many kits and this was a quality kit w/a simple install.should have done more homework in the engineering dept. Still a great deal and quality kit.

by:

The videos on etrailer website make this an easy installation. Also watched the video for my exact model to install the wiring. Will recommend etrailer.com to anyone. I installed was able to install it, with no help, by putting a sturdy box under the left side, while bolting on the right side.

by:

The product is fine, but installation takes longer than 30 minutes even for an experienced well equipped mechanic. I would recommend a caution note about weld nut cleaning in the instructions especially if you want to achieve the proper torque on the bolts. The instructions are very confusing with all of the different variations of the vehicles that are covered. I have a good deal of experience as a mechanic as well as a technical writer and I have installed three other hitches in the last two years and I had to re-read the instructions many times to decipher what they were trying to explain. The on-line tips an videos would have been useful had I looked at them before I finished the installation.

by:

The hitch receiver kit was well labeled and simple to install. It took me about two hours by the time I got my van up on ramps and located all the tools etc. drilling a hole in the frame is surprisingly easy if you have good drill bits (1/4 and 1/2 inch). It's not like drilling through 1/4" plate steel or anything. I had to spend some time locating a metric tap to clean out the weld nuts on the drivers side of the vehicle. The vehicle comes with them but since they're exposed to the elements the instructions should include this step. I tried to install without this step but I was only ruining the bolts. that's the only improvement I would make on the directions. I'm pretty sure I could install another one in about 20 minutes, having done it once. Still, surprisingly simple, all the parts you need, and good instructions.

by:

Product ordered was shipped the same day ordered and arrived within 3 business days. The hitch PN 87410 was as described and in excellent condition. I would use this company any time. In fact the wiring harness looks so simple I will order that as well. The videos and description make install easy.

by:
Chevrolet Venture

the hidden hitch and wiring harness were the correct ones for my Chevy venture. The production installation videos were a great assistance to give me an idea of how to properly install them with ease. I installed both in about 1 hour. I will recommend your company to anybody looking for trailer products. You will be the only company I deal with because of ease of getting information, ease in ordering and tracking and helpful installation info. Thanks again

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Confirmed to Fit a 2017 Ford Explorer
We do have trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2017 Ford Explorer but the Draw-Tite # 75278 will not fit. It's for several different models of GM vans. Instead you'll want to use Draw-Tite # 76034 on your Explorer. I've linked an install video for you. If you're going to be towing a trailer you'll also need a wiring harness. I recommend the Tekonsha 4-way # 118540. You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I've attached a link of our selection of ball mounts for a 2 inch hitch...

  • Availability Of Trailer Hitch For 2023 Infiniti QX55
Hello Brent, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say we do not offer a trailer hitch for the 2023 Infiniti QX55. The hitch for the QX50 will not cross over. If you need to carry cargo with your QX55 the only options would be to have a welder custom make a hitch for you, or to carry cargo with a roof rack and roof mounted cargo carrier. What were you hoping to use the hitch for? Let me know and I am happy to look into alternatives.

On your Chevy Uplander, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75278 will fit with your load leveling compressor. It will take some extra time to make sure that you have the proper fit, but the bracket will reinstall over the hitch receiver mounts. • Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2008 Chevy Uplander
Congratulations on the addition to the family! I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2008 Chevy Uplander and it lists a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 pounds. With this in mind your van is more than up to the task of pulling your loaded boat trailer with a healthy safety margin intact. Since you will be staying well under the vehicle's limits towing the trailer shouldn't put too much stress on the transmission or engine. I do just recommend verifying this...

  • Recommendation for Complete Towing Setup on a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander 3.9 Liter
I did some research on your 2007 Chevrolet Uplander and found that the maximum recommended towing capacity for this vehicle is 3,500 pounds. If your trailer is 2,600 pounds empty, you would be limited to 900 pounds or less of cargo. If 900 pounds of cargo sounds about right, you will need to check your hitch capacities and make sure it is capable of towing 3,500 pounds. You may find that a weight distribution system is needed to safely tow the maximum capacity with your vehicle. You should...

  • Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount Kit for 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Towing Multiple Trailers
If your 2007 Chevrolet Uplander has the 121-inch wheel base then the easiest hitch install will come with the Curt 2-inch Class III hitch # 13336 since this option is a no-drill install. This hitch and the 1-1/4-inch Curt # C12336 are the only such no-drill hitches offered. If your Uplander does not have this 121-inch wheel base then the option I suggest is the Draw-Tite # 75278 which does require drilling but costs less than others. • Setting Up a 2004 Chevrolet Venture to Tow a 2,500 Pound Camper with Trailer Brakes
Suspension supplements like the Timbren kits we carry may or may not be needed. At 2,500 pounds dry you should be within the tow capacity of the Venture. If your total trailer weight is close to the limit of the van, then I would suggest a suspension supplement.
