Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

  • Does Draw Tite Hitch 41936 Fit 2021 Coachmen Encore Motorhome
The Draw Tite hitch part # 41936 is confirmed as a fit for the F-53 chassis motorhomes so it would also fit your 2021 Coachmen Encore that is built on this same chassis.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Itasca Suncruiser 35P to Tow a Jeep Gladiator
Thanks for reaching out! I recommend checking out the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41936 for your 2011 Itasca Suncruiser 35P. This is a Class IV hitch with a 2" receiver and a trailer tow rating of 12,000 lbs so it will be more than capable of handling your Jeep Gladiator. Just make sure you aren't exceeding the tow weight rating of your motorhome and you'll be good to go!

  • High Capacity Hitch Recommendation for 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD
It will not if your truck came from the factory with a pickup bed. The Draw-Tite # 41936 is for a cab and chassis truck which uses a narrower frame than the pickup. If you have the pickup, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 41944 which has a similar capacity of 13K towing and 1950 lbs of tongue weight. This is the most reasonably priced high capacity hitch we offer for your truck. I've linked to an installation video and the install instructions for you.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2013 GMC K1500 4WD
I'd recommend the Curt Class IV receiver hitch, part # 14301. The hitch has a 10,000 lb towing/1000 lb tongue weight capacity which might be more than you need for that particular trailer, but it'll have plenty of capacity to spare in case you should need to tow something heavier in the future. If you click the provided link, you can see a video that will walk you through the installation process.

  • Trailer Hitch Option for a 2011 Ram 1500 Bighorn with OEM Hitch Under the Bumper
All of the aftermarket trailer hitches that we carry for your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn state that they will not fit with a factory installed hitch, however, this typically refers to the factory hitches that hang below the rear bumper. I have heard of towing bumpers on Ram trucks, but I am not familiar with a Ram OEM hitch that uses the rear bumper. To determine if one of our trailer hitches will fit on your truck, you will want to look at the round cross tube that runs between the...

  • Draw-Tite Class 5 Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500LD
You are going to need the Draw-Tite Receiver # 41932 for your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500LD. The Receiver # 41936 you found will only fit cab and chassis versions of the 3500 Silverado and Sierra trucks for your year.

  • Do You Have a Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver For a Motorhome With Workhorse W-Series Chassis?
While Draw-Tite will not give a dimensional drawing for the Receiver # 41936 I do not see that it confirmed to fit on a Workhorse chassis. They will not provide a dimensional drawing as it would then open up the likely hood of another manufacturer or person creating their own receiver based on their work. Typically with most motorhomes you will need to install a universal receiver like the Draw-Tite Ultra # 41990-07 which can be bolted or welded into place. This receiver is designed to...

  • How To Choose The Correct Trailer Hitch For Your 2017 Georgetown 369XL Class A Motorhome
Motorhome hitches, especially when going higher than 5,000lbs, will typically be a universal/adjustable fit and require welding to install. You'll need to know the distance between the frame rails of your motorhome's chassis so that you can ensure that you get the correct size. You'll also need to measure for how much drop you'll need to clear the rear fascia. For example, the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-16 has a 44" cross tube with adjustable brackets...

  • Universal Hitch Receiver for a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban
I have a solution for you but there are no custom fit options for the 2016 Chev Suburbans. Like yours, they all came from the factory with the hitch hidden behind the bumper. To get a higher capacity hitch you are going to have to go with a universal fit like the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Weld On - Class V - 2" item # 41990-07. This fits vehicles with frames up to 44" wide. It can be bolted on or welded onto your frame.

  • Class IV or V Trailer Hitch for an RV Built on a Ford F-53 Chassis
The available trailer hitches designed for use on RVs are not rated high enough to be considered Class IV or V hitches. So what you will need is to install a heavy duty truck hitch. We have several options, see link, depending on the frame width on your RV. For example hitch # 41991-07 is a Class V weld-on hitch that fits a frame width up to 62 inches wide. Frame width is measured from the outside of one frame rail to the outside of the other. Any weld-on options should be installed by...

  • Hitch Fit for 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Cab/Chassis Fitted With Dump Body and Rear Fuel Tank
We do offer both Class IV and Class V trailer hitches for the 2012 Silverado cab and chassis. All can be seen on the link provided. All require drilling and that the spacing of your frame rails be 34-inches outside to outside. The most popular among them is the Curt # C15800 which is a 2-1/2-inch Class V hitch. Please note that one of these, part # 41936 from Draw-Tite, cannot be used with your rear fuel tank-equipped Silverado, but the others do not have this exclusion. I have linked...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 1956 Ford F-100
We don't have any custom fit hitches for a 1956 Ford truck but I do have a universal hitch that will bolt to your truck's frame. It is the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch item # 41990-07. This 2" hitch can be welded or bolted onto your 34" wide frame. I have linked the installation instructions below so you can see how to get it set up. You will want to skip ahead to the diagram 2 step to see how to get it installed with bolts.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Truck
I can help you find a hitch that will fit your 34 inch outside to outside measurement on your 2016 Chevy 3500 HD. It sounds like you have a Cab and Chassis style Chevy, because of the 34 inch wide outside to outside frame. I have listed the trailer hitches below that will fit your vehicle, but the Reese RP45302 is not one of them. I also included a link on this page to take you directly to the page of the 5 hitches that will fit your vehicle for your convenience. 2 inch receiver opening: Draw-Tite...

  • Fit of Draw-Tite Class IV # 41936 Trailer Hitch on 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab
For a Class IV hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 41929. The Draw-Tite Class IV hitch you referred to, part # 41936 is a fit for cab and chassis trucks only. Cab and chassis trucks have a narrower frame than the regular truck models do, and therefore the hitch wouldn't fit your truck. I've linked you to the installation instructions. For a 12K rated ballmount, I'd recommend # 4281. For a 12K rated 2-5/16 inch ball, use # 19286 or # A-90 for a 2 inch ball.

  • What Does Hitch Not Rated for Use with Weight Distribution Mean for a Trailer Hitch
A trailer hitch that is not rated for use with weight distribution means that the hitch cannot be used with any type of weight distribution system because of its bracket design (short brackets on this hitch) and they could have also found in testing that it does not hold up well with weight distribution. This hitch is also made for cab and chassis models of the 2003 GMC Sierra so if you have a regular pickup this hitch will not fit. If you do have a cab and chassis model then Curt trailer...

For your 2018 Ram 1500 Express, I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center # 41948. This is a Class V hitch receiver with a 2 inch receiver opening. It is rated for 1500 lbs tongue weight and 12,000 lbs towing and even more when used with weight distribution.
