Changing your hitch ball size is as easy as pushing out the integrated pin.

No need to get out the heavy wrenches. Convert-A-Ball's interchangeable balls are equipped with integrated pins, making it easy to change out your hitch ball for one of another size.
To switch balls, simply push in the integrated pin (using a pen or your finger) to release and remove installed ball. Then just replace with different-size ball, reversing the process.

The hitch ball is massive! Machined from solid stainless steel. Very well made. Note: Best to keep the actual balls that attach to the machined stud in a safe place since they are each held in place by a sliding, hardened retaining pin. The pin may dislodge if not retained by the trailer tongue. Overall, treat yourself to an American made, massive, and beautifully machined ball! You’ll be happy:)

I’ve owned the convert-a-ball set for a year now and must say it is one of the best items I have. I use it daily pulling different trailers all day long . Quality product worth the money. If you're thinking it might be difficult to swap out the balls, not to worry. The pins have O-rings on each end and push out finger easy. Each ball has it's own pin which can't be completely removed so they'll never get dropped or lost. When installing the balls the pins line up effortlessly and push in place with a finger. Corrosion resistant stainless steel and 10,000 lbs capacity makes this product a no brainer.

Excellent product. I have had several over the years. Spend the extra money to get the stainless version. My first was not and rusted together so that I couldn't change the balls. I just purchased two more. One to replace one that was stolen from my Yukon XL in a parking lot, and one for the drawbar on my tractor. I have a flatbed trailer to carry the tractor, a small dump trailer, and a log splitter so I am continually switching among all three size balls. Very convenient.

Tried a cheaper brand and while putting it on hitch, the four ball bearings popped out, had to return and then got a convert-a-ball the quality and strength is far better and very easy to use

Convert a Ball is the only acceptable convertible system. Get stainless if you can; the chrome will flake off, then it will rust and junk up the inside of the ball, causing issues. Stainless is the way to go.

The thickest shank for that set up is the 1" shank of the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set # 906b. You can still use this if you're ok with going to a new ball mount with a 1" hitch ball hole diameter like the 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop Convert-A-Ball # AMSC2.
