Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Safety Chain Clip. The Safety Chain Clip welds onto your trailer frame to securely hold a safety chain in place. It's made from carbon steel construction. It's very strong and durable and it features a nice plain steel finish. Now, the diameter of this clip is around 7/16 of an inch. A few other measurements I want to go over with you real quick.
The overall measurement of the length, edge to edge, is around 4". The overall height, very bottom to very top, that gives us a measurement of about 1-1/8". Then the usable space, I measured this space right here. From my tabletop to the bottom of the opening is about 11/16 to 3/4" tall. Then from side to side, I took a measurement of that, and I got an opening of about 1-5/8".
Now that clearance may vary depending on the size of hook that you're placing in here on your safety chain. Again, you have about 3/4" up and down and 1-5/8" side to side. That's going to do it for today's look at the Weld-On Safety Chain Clip.
Average Customer Rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars (6 Customer Reviews)
The chain clips were perfect for attaching the safety chain to the trailer. It was an easy installation and a simple solution for new safety chains.
Have used these safety chain weldments on two trailers now, my #4000 utility trailer and now my #7000 flatbed trailer. Super fast shipping, good pricing, and great customer service from E-Trailer. I have been buying all my RV and trailer parts from them year on both trailer builds and my RV camper repairs.
