Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Curt two and five sixteenths diameter stainless steel hitch ball. Has a 15,000-pound weight capacity. Now this hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler. Does use the fine threads here on the shank.
Provides a nice tight strong grip. And it is a corrosion resistant stainless steel construction. Has the lock washer and the nut all included for installation.Again, the ball diameter is two and five sixteenths diameter. Weight capacity, which is stamped on the top, is 15,000 pounds. A few dimensions on this.
The shank dimension. Measure the diameter on the shank. It's right at one and a quarter inches diameter. The length on it, it's right at three inches long.So this is designed to fit a ball platform that's at least three eighths of an inch thick and it has a one and a quarter inch diameter ball hole. That should do it for the review on the Curt two and five sixteenths stainless steel hitch ball with the 15,000 pound weight capacity.

Durable stainless steel ball has a 1-1/4" diameter x 2-5/8" threaded length shank. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion. Fine threads provide strong grip. Zinc-plated lock washer and nut included. As always, no problems with either the item purchased from eTrailer, or with the company itself!!
Listing Indicates A 2-5/8" Shank Length. However, The Hitch Ball I Received Has A 3" Shank Length. This Is Longer Than I Originally Wanted. The Description On Curts Website Is Also Incorrect. The Quality Of The Ball Is Very Good. Please Correct The Specs On Your Listing.

Working great, high quality
Who would have thought a hitch ball could be gorgeous? This one is!
Looks like new after one year, 5000 miles of towing over five weeks.
Very solid excellent quality
just what i ordered
Amazing customer service
Great advice when I called for technical question about trailer balls -- answered by a live human who knew what they were talking about. This Hitchball has served us well over 9,000 miles of towing our Casita.
We run 9 trailers with 7 of them being towed app.32,000 miles each per year.
We replace the tow balls on our trucks after a couple of years running. I have used 2" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 10,000 lb
We have used Item #A-90 for our replacement ball for over 10 years and have never encountered any problems. Due to its durability, it is our replacement ball of choice. I highly recommend it, along with the 12,000 lb and 17,000 lb ball carrier. This allows us to go to 2-5/16 ball when needed.
This hitch ball is working as it should. We use it on our Reese Dual Cam Pro WD hitch head. We have no issues with this ball.
Heavy duty and proper fit. It's a well made ball hitch.
Replaced the two and a half inch ball that came with the universal hitch. I need 2-in for my trailer. Is working great for over a year

Well that is odd. It seems to me that the diagram that is on our site is pretty misleading, measurement wise. You will need to measure from the top of the threading to the very end of the shank, that is the usable space. Which is the measurement quoted on our site. I have sent in a request to get this diagram updated to show the exact measurements.
