Question:

Looking to get a weight distribution hitch for a 2003 chevy silverado 1500. Not sure what one I would need. The camper has a dry weight of 4232 and a hitch weight of 560.

When choosing the correct weight distribution hitch for your trailer you will want to choose one where the loaded tongue weight of your trailer falls close to the middle of the prescribed range for the hitch. The Curt MV Weight Distribution System - Round Bar - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # C17051 you were looking at is designed for trailers with between 600-lbs and 800-lbs of tongue weight, so it's not going to be the best fit if you're routinely around 560-lbs of tongue weight.

Instead of the Curt MV # C17051 I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # FA92-00-0800, which has a range of 400-lbs to 800-lbs, so your 560-lbs tongue weight will fall right in the middle. The Fastway e2 is also a bit of an upgrade compared to the MV since it has integrated 2 point sway control, and the trunnion bars are a bit easier to install than round bars that the MV comes with.

You will need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank diameter like the # C69FR (2" hitch ball) or # C49FR (2-5/16" hitch ball) to use with this system. You also may need a thin walled 1-7/8" socket # EQ70-00-4800 to install the ball if you don't already have one.
