Is there a stainless steel option available for this ball? The chrome plating is already getting chewed up after one trip.

Yes, there is a stainless steel alternative to the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems part # EQ91-00-6100, it's the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank - Stainless Steel part # C49FR. This will work great with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems but you may need to trim the shank down to 2-3/8" per Equal-i-zer. The stainless steel option will last much longer than the chrome plated one above.
