Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our TowSmart pintle hook with a two inch ball and it's a bolt-on application rate of 16,000 pounds. So folks, this pintle hook and hitch ball combo lets you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Now this pintle hook will let you connect to lunette ring couplers. You simply pull the safety pin out like I already got. You roll this up here and that allows this head to open.
Then you put the lunette ring on. It works with ring couplers or Lunette rings of a 2.5 half inch or 3 inch diameter on those Lunette rings. And then you simply push it back down over the ball and then put the safety pin back through, ensuring that it cannot come unlatched during operation. Now this does come with the included hardware that you see there. This hardware looks like it already came kind of pre lubricated so it's not gonna rust on you and everything.
The hitch itself is a nice heavy-duty steel with a nice elegant black powder coat finish. The ball is a two inch ball. It's been chrome-plated. It's a chrome-plated hitch ball. And I will tell you that if you're gonna use this, you obviously would need a pintle hook mounting plate that's sold separately.
That being said, that plate uses a standard three 3 3/8 on center by 1 3/4 on center mounting pattern. And again, that's the same across the board on those. Now they make different heights of those. So again, you gotta purchase that separately. Now this again fits the lunette rings 2.5 by 3 inch max.
The gross towing is 16,000 pounds. The tongue weight is 3,000 pounds and again, the hitch ball is two inches. Well folks, that will wrap it up. Just a quick look today at our TowSmart pintle hitch with a two inch ball. We also carry this in a 2 5/16 inch option ball as well. You can check that out here at etrailer.com as well. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
