This Convert-A-Ball combination pintle hitch and ball mount is cushioned inside with polyurethane to absorb shock and cut down on bounce and vibration. That means less strain on your driveline, hitch, and trailer contents when towing loads up to 16,000 lbs. It’s solid steel with a matte black base and nickel-plated components built to handle real work without rattling your teeth or your cargo.
Some days it’s a lunette ring, other days a standard coupler. This combo mount converts quickly between a pintle hook rated for 16,000 lbs and interchangeable hitch balls rated from 3,500 to 8,000 lbs. Just slip the pintle sleeve over the 1" ball shank for a secure pintle setup or remove it to use one of the included 1-7/8", 2", or 2-5/16" nickel-plated balls. No tools needed, no hassle—just the flexibility to tow whatever you need with one mount.
A strong connection makes all the difference when you’re moving heavy trailers. The double-engagement locking system keeps the lunette ring locked in tight when using it as a pintle hitch. The solid steel shank and pintle sleeve fit a standard 2" x 2" receiver and secure with a 5/8" hitch pin (sold separately). It’s tough, precise hardware that stays put through long hauls and rough roads.
Once it’s in your receiver, this fixed ball mount keeps everything steady. The polyurethane layer inside the shank cushions movement so there’s less clanging and vibration while towing. It’s a straightforward design that makes each trip smoother from hookup to haul without having to adjust or tighten anything along the way.
