You don’t need to swap out your existing gear to make this work. It connects directly with Demco, etrailer, and Blue Ox tow bars—no adapter needed. Running a Roadmaster tow bar? Just add the right adapter (DM9523036, DM9523062, DM9523014, or DM9523023, sold separately). It also includes an electrical bracket so you can mount a round connector plug neatly up front and keep your wiring organized.
If you like tackling projects yourself, this one’s straightforward. The kit comes with all hardware and instructions for a bolt-on installation—no welding required. With the bracket distance at 31-3/8" and bracket height at 15", you can plan your setup with confidence before getting started. It’s a realistic weekend project that ends with a solid towing connection ready for the road ahead.

The Demco base plate for our 2025 Jeep Gladiator is still the best choice out there. It required no drilling or cutting and is easily swapped out as we lease our Jeep and need to put it on the next Jeep every year. Also very easy to hook up and very robust construction.

Heavy duty base plate that had the easiest installation. You don’t have to remove air dam, bumper etc., it slides right up from behind after you remove your tow hooks and comes with safety cables. 2021 Ford Ranger.
