Question:

Want to make sure their is no cutting or grinding involved to make a clean fit on my skid plate. One video shows cutting another shows perfect fit. Thanks

The Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519343 will require you to use a grinder for installation on your 2021 Ford Ranger. Sometimes this can vary from vehicle to vehicle but if it's in the instructions I'd say there is a safe bet that it's a step you'll have to take. For a base plate kit that requires the least amount of modification you'll want to go with the Blue Ox # BLU77XR as the instructions call for minor modification to the front shroud as needed.

Once you have the Blue Ox kit installed I recommend using the following parts if you don't already have all of your flat towing equipment:

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates - # RM-677
Towing Combo Kit - # RM-9284-2
Relay Kit - # RM-88400
Brake Kit - # DM86VR for hydraulic motorhome braking or # DM26VR for air motorhome braking

A lot of flat towing setups might require the use of a high-low adapter to keep the tow bar level while towing a vehicle. I have linked a helpful article for you to reference to see if this applies to you. If it does then I have also linked our selection of adapters for you to filter through.
