The simple ladder pattern is all about pushing ahead when the going gets tough. Each cross chain grabs as your tires roll forward, helping you power up driveways or through packed ruts. It’s a basic but proven layout that works well for both on-road and off-road snow conditions.
Cold temperatures and rough terrain can wear down chains fast, but these are built from low-carbon steel for solid strength and durability. You can rely on them to hold up through repeated use, season after season. Dry them after each run to help extend their life even more.
These chains install without any cams or built-in levers, so there’s nothing to work loose while reversing or tackling uneven ground. Once you’ve hooked them up, you can add rubber adjusters (sold separately) to pull everything snug for a clean, tight fit. I bought tire chains for the new Chevy truck that I just bought. I purchased the chains for piece of mind, just in case I ever needed to continue down the muddy/snowy road. To this date, I have only installed the chains once. While in the garage to make sure they fit.
Yesterday was the second time I've used my chains. Half of the rungs broke on one side on one of the chains. Today (third time using them), one rung broke on the other chain. The first time I used them (last year) they held up very well for the most part. They were very easy to put on. The only problem I had at that time was that the triangle shaped piece (that holds the swan shaped connector in place) bends very easily and can't be disconnected after that.
Great chains perfect fit on my 2018 f-150. Super fast delivery . Just a dry fit to make sure before hunting season.

We had previously purchased chains from etrailer that worked great, but we upsized the wheels/tires of the plow truck and needed larger chains. So we bought these chains and used them to enlarge the four previous chains. The new ones did exactly what we wanted them to do! Not yet installed, they are packaged well and are the correct size for a Tacoma T265/70-16). I placed my order. I got a confirmation email that also advised that I would be notified when the item shipped. The package showed up in the mailbox but I never got the shipping email or tracking number.

Fantastic customer service. Ordered on a Friday afternoon, received by Tuesday, left to a snowy camp on Thursday. Chains did not list my tire size on the bag but included them on the website. Tried the sizing before I left home and they fit perfectly. Received almost 2 feet of snow and chained the fronts and backs in order to pull a 30' trailer up a nasty forest road. Chains were easy to put on and worked like a dream. Totally recommended, especially for the price.

These chains worked perfectly . Used them on my Tacoma and was able to drive some snow and ice covered non-plowed state forest roads without issue. They were easy to install and remove.
Fit like a charm. Very durable, obviously heavy duty. Makes me feel much more confident than using some of the newer chain designs. Those of you ordering a set of chains like this for the first time don’t forget to order chain tighteners.
These chains are amazing! I use them on a 12 passenger van and they install very quickly and easily. I have driven on unplowed roads with 2' snow drifts and have hauled trailers through muddy fields without getting stuck. I highly recommend them.
Chains are what I need perfect, but blue rubber tensioners broke first time putting on,
I used these on a 2wd open diff F150 with a camper. The traction difference is amazing! I never lost traction! If you’re on a pass that warns “chains or AWD”, don’t go without chains or off road tires. I puttered along at 30 in the unplowed lane watching a clown in an AWD BMW slide everywhere in the plowed slush, holding up traffic.
Anyway, the chains themselves. I’ve used diamond pattern chains with a cable on the inside and fancy nonsense on the outside before. The cable always collects snow, and the multiple connections on the outside is confusing. These ladder chains were easy and simple to put on and take off. I used tensioner bungees also. You will get a bumpy ride, but it smooths out as you speed up. Anyone that claims ladder chains don’t have lateral grip hasn’t used them and doesn’t understand the physics of why chains help.
Great for going up a pass periodically, but not something I’d use daily.

Needed these chains for a snowboarding trio this December. Installed them in my yard to make sure they fit, and figure out which link worked best. Now that i know what link to use, next time it should only take sbout 10 min to put them on. I really like how they stay away from my wheels so should not scrstch them. My yard was very soft from recent rain and you can see how well the chains dig into the mud. Should be really good on snow/ice.
1/15/2024 I couldn’t go up my property, so on 1/17 I ordered this chain with the TCMA2 Rubber chain hook. On 1/22 I tried it was a beautiful climb, and decent, my driveway has a 17 degree slope. I try again next day with a glance of ice, NO Problem! A year later, same success! Love to have the right tool.
The chains look very sturdy. I would give them 5 stars if someone can tell me why some of the crossover connections twist the circumference chain links 90 degrees. See my pictures.
