Notes:

A brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) may be required if used with a flat tow brake system. (See below.)
A wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes will be needed to retain separate turn and brake signals. (See below.)

Combined Lighting System vs Separate Lighting System

A combined lighting system, or 2-wire system, uses the same light bulb to signal both braking and turning. (In other words, the car signals a turn by flashing the brake light.)

A separate lighting system, or 3-wire system, has the brake signal and the turn signal light up independently of each other. Typically, the turn signal is amber.

To keep the separate lighting system on your car functioning properly while you're flat towing, add a wiring converter (118158 - sold separately) and 2 additional diodes.

Do I Need a Brake Light Relay?

If the engine is off and your car's brake lights illuminate when you press the brake pedal, you need to install a brake light relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) with this kit. Without a relay, your car's brake signal will override the turn signal sent by the RV when you are slowing down to make a turn, creating a potentially dangerous situation. Other drivers will see that you're slowing down, but not that you're making a turn. With a brake light relay, you can signal both and travel safely.

Worked like a champ on my Fiat 500. Installation was tedious, but wasn't difficult. Hardest part was affixing and wiring the plug I bought separate for the cable to go to my 7pin on the RV. And fishing the wire all the way from back to front of course. But it's still working a year later and many tows.

2015 Fiat 500

This is the simplest solution I found for wiring my 2015 Fiat 500 Pop for towing. I like the simplicity of just plugging the harness between the vehicle wiring and tail light fixture without having to cut or splice any wires.
Minus one star because the wiring extension to the front of the car came up short by about at least a foot from the front center where my plug attaches to my base plate. Not a huge problem for me because I am wiring a 6 pin socket that attaches directly to my Blue Ox base plate. I just used the wire included to connect my RV to the Fiat to make up the difference and connect to my 6 pin socket.
There were good suggestions in the instructions regarding routing the wiring from the back to the front. However, I couldn’t get the fish tape over the wheel wells or under the splash guard. I ended up jacking up each wheel (driver side rear and then front) then removing the tire the wheel well lining. You have to remove a half dozen fasteners on each wheel well liner and wrestle a bit to get the liners out, but it made routing the wiring over the wheel wells easier for me. I also removed three screws (Philips) under the edge of the drivers side splash guard to loosen the edge of guard which made it simple to run the wire extension between the guard and the frame at that location.

2013 Ford Five Hundred

Purchased this tow light harness kit specifically for our 2013 Fiat 500 Pop that will be flat-towed behind our RV. The kit arrived just several days after being ordered and contained all the parts required for installation. The install was surprisingly simple due to the 'plug n' play' feature! It took a little over an hour, but we chose to route the wires slightly different than what was suggested on the instruction sheet. We are happy with the results. The Fiat's lights now work as intended for towing and can easily be removed in the future, if necessary.

All and all the harness is very good, it took about three hours to install. Everything plugged together fine, the only
draw back was the wire lead for the car tail lights could have been a couple inches longer. Going to tow car behind a motorhome and the extra lights will help other people see it.

Your service is horrible! Your answering service is slow and full of excuses on everything. You say in your ad professional service. Your company is far from that. The people answering the phone are NOT knowledgeable on the products you sell! They just want to send you the 1st thing they see. They don't explain there a 2 products that do the same thing, but the difference between the two. Takes hours for phone calls to be returned. Can't talk to managers. Many excuses for that. We had to cancel our vacation because of your Lack of professionalism, knowledge and excuses. Also your ad says guaranteed lowest price. We were told they couldn't do that!!

Can Curt Plug and Play Flat Tow Wiring and 4-Way Be Installed At The Same Time On 2013 Fiat 500
Since the Curt # C58911 and # C56174 use the same connection points you will not be able to install both at the same time. If you really want to swap them out when you tow/flat tow you can but that is going to be a big hassle. Instead, I recommend using the # C59236 which splices in for installation. It isn't ideal when there is a plug and play option but it will let you keep both installed on your vehicle.

The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar part # RM-522 is what I recommend for a 2014 Fiat 500 (All Models). The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain has a non-binding design so you can release the arms on unlevel ground without a tool unlike the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 which just makes using the tow bar much easier.
