Question:

I read your reply to someone asking what they need to flat tow a JL Unlimited Rubicon. Although mine is a 2019, I assume the RM-154, RM-751490, RM-156-25 and RM-055-3 are all required? Also, your webpage states that the SMI 9599006 replaces the SMI 99251 but all I can find on your site is the SMI 99251. Do you have the newest model? I will need to measure my hitch height to determine if I need a hi-lo adapter. Lastly, you recommended the DM 9519336 but your site states that it is “Not a fit!” I have a tight timeline for installation and I need to be sure that I have all I need and that it is the right stuff. Thanks for your assistance.

The Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K # RM-676 is compatible with the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # DM9519336. There is no additional adapter needed. I confirmed this with my tech contact at Demco.

I reached out to my contact at Demco to confirm the baseplate # DM9519336 is the part you want for your 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited if you have the factory standard bumper. If you had the Rubicon then you would use # DM9519339 instead. Then you can use the # RM-676 for a tow bar as they are compatible. For storage use the Roadmaster Tow Bar Cover # RM-055-3 as you stated. Since this has the wiring connector and safety cables you are almost 1/2 way done. For your wiring, you can use either RM-154 or # RM-152 as they will install the same way using the tow bar you have. Then you can use battery charge line # RM-156-25. I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster and confirmed the brake light switch # RM-751490 was a fit so you don't need the universal # RM-751000 unless you just like that installation better. The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 is my favorite by far. It did have a manufacturer part number change as you referenced but we kept the original number for reference in our system. There isn't a new model, Demco just bought SMI and put their logo on it too. We will have the latest model for you. You are correct you will need to measure for high-low adapter.
