Features to know about

Built for Strength That Lasts: 2,160-lb Capacity Aluminum Construction

This wheel is made to handle heavy loads without weighing you down. The aluminum build is durable, lightweight, and rustproof, giving you confidence every time you tow. Rated for 2,160 lbs, it’s a strong match for serious hauling duty while still keeping things corrosion-free year after year.

Locks Down Tight, Trip After Trip: Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Each lug nut seat has a pressed-in steel insert that keeps the holes from wearing down over time. That means the wheel stays secure on your hub and you won’t be constantly retorquing lug nuts. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in long-term reliability.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels - Wheel Only - TA27XR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Taskmaster 15" x 5" County line series, black machined aluminum trailer wheel. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And we mention it's a County line series, which is a five fork design in a glossy black with a machine silver accent on the spoke to provide a nice, bold, sleek look. The glossy black enamel coating will resist corrosion, and one of the nice features I like about this wheel, if you look inside the lug nut wells where your lug nuts go, they use steel inserts in here, and those are designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub.

So when you put this wheel up onto your hub, put your lug nuts in and tighten it down, when you tighten it down, it'll keep those holes from elongating and wearing down and eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. If you notice, it does include the center cap. I can push that out and just show you the center cap that's included. Actually, that has, on the center cap, a cap that can pop off if you need to access any easy lube axles. But when you do install this before you put your assembly up on your trailer, you put your cap through the back and then go ahead and install it.

Also, right down here, if you notice it does include the valve step. Now this wheel will meet the SAE J1204 standards. A few dimensions on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width. And the diameter on a wheel is always measured inside to inside. So basically if you take our tape measure, and if we go straight across, you'll be able to see there's your 15 inch diameter.

The width, again, is inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. So there's your five inch width. Now the bolt pattern on the wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure the bolt pattern on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs. What you'll need to do, let me go ahead and pop the cap out so I can demonstrate for you.

But basically on odd number of lugs, like in this case five, just pick one of the holes. Let's say this one, and you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But the trick is you measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. On this one, it'll measure 4 1/2 inches. So that means it's a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,160 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the hole here, goes over your hub. It's also the hole where your center cap goes through. The diameter on this is 3.19 inches. (cap clanking) But that should do it for a look at the Taskmaster 15" x 5" County line series, black machined aluminum trailer wheel. (wheel stand rustling).
