Specs:
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we'll gonna take a look at this Taskmaster 15 inch by 6 inch County Line series black machined aluminum trailer wheel, with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And we mentioned this is the County Line series, which is a six-fork spoke design here in the black. And then, if you notice on the spoke itself right here on the edges, they do have a nice machined silver accent, then that gives, provides a nice bold, sleeve look and a nice shine to the wheel.
The glossy black enamel coating will resist corrosion. And one of the nice features I like about this wheel is if you look here in the lug nut wells, they installed steel inserts. This is designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically, when you go to install your wheel and tire onto your trailer, you'll put the wheel up onto the wheel studs, put your lug nuts in, tighten them down. And when you do that, these inserts will prevent those holes from elongating and wearing down.
So, eliminates the need for constant retightening of your lug nuts. Now, the center cap in the center right here, and just push it out to show you this is included. And what's nice with this center cap is this whole top section right here, there's a little tab or a little opening that you can put a screwdriver in and pop this whole top off. And the reason you can do that, it'll give you access if you happen to have E-Z Lube axles on your trailer. E-Z Lube axles are the ones that have the grease zerk fittings on the end of the spindle, allows you to grease your bearings without having to remove the tires and wheels.
So, with these center caps, you can get that access. Basically, when you install this through your wheel, you'll put your wheel and tire up on your trailer, tighten the lugs down. And then, if you go need to go grease your bearings, instead of having to take off the whole wheels and tires, just pop off this top portion of your center cap, and that'll let you gain access to that zerk fitting with your grease gun. Also, right over here, you can see includes the valve stem pre-installed. This wheel does meet the SAE J1204 standards.
A few measurements on this wheel, we're gonna measure the diameter, which is always measured inside to inside. So, if we take our tape measure and we go all the way across, you can see inside inside's 15 inch diameter. The width is measured inside the inside, bead seat to bead seat, six inches wide. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, it's an even number of lugs. It's pretty simple because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So, all you have to do is pick any hole, measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the lug hole right across from it. On this one, if we measure be 5 1/2 inches, so it's 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern, uses a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20. This pilot hole diameter, which goes over the hub, and actually your center cap goes through that, diameter of that hole is 4.25 inches. And the last thing is this wheel does have a weight capacity of 2,835 pounds. But that should do it for our look at the Taskmaster 15 inch by 6 inch County Line series black machined aluminum trailer wheel, with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
