It’s hub-piloted and designed to use 5/8"-18 flange nuts (part #95188, sold separately) for a secure, proper mount.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Dexstar 16 inch by 6 inch gray dual steel wheel with a five and 1/2 inch offset and an eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a dual wheel, so it can be used as either an inner or an outer wheel on your truck or your trailer, and depending on which way it's installed, it'll have either a positive or a negative five and 1/2 inch offset. And offset is always measured from the front mounting surface to the center line of the wheel. So basically, you install it this way as an inner wheel, it's gonna give you a positive five and 1/2 inch offset. If you flip it around and install it like this as an outer wheel, it's gonna give you a negative five and 1/2 inch offset.
The wheel is a sturdy steel construction. It is a silver powder coat finish over an E-coat primer, gives the excellent corrosion resistance. And it is a high quality wheel, does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. And this wheel is a hub piloted design. Hub piloted means that when you install this, it's gonna center right on the hub diameter right here.
So this hole is gonna fit perfectly onto the hub of your axle. And because it is hub piloted, the bolt holes do not have any chamfer or bevel to them. So it does require the use of 5/8 inch by 18 size flange nuts to hold this wheel in place. Those flange nuts we do sell separate on the website. They go at part number of 95188.
This wheel is made by Dexstar, so it is made in the USA. A few specs on this, the diameter, the diameter on a wheel is always measured inside the inside. And basically the reason that is, is 'cause when your tire is mounted on here, the tire beads will seat right here. So basically you're gonna be measuring inside the inside, which is bead seat to bead seat. So if we get a tape measure and if we go straight across, you'll be able to see there's your 16 inch diameter.
The width of the wheels gonna be the same way, bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside six inches wide. The bolt pattern we mentioned on this is a eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case it's pretty easy. 'cause if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick one of the holes, measure directly across from center of this hole to center of this hole. On this wheel it'll measure six and 1/2 inches. So that means it's an eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. We mentioned the offset is either a positive or a negative five and 1/2 inches. Pilot hole diameter. Since this is hub piloted, this diameter is critical, 'cause it's gonna be perfectly centered on your hub. Pilot hole diameter is 4.88 inches, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 3,500 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at the Dexstar 16 inch by six inch gray dual steel wheel with a five and 1/2 inch offset and an eight on six and 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

My customer busted a couple of rims and requested them to be replaced with a product that was made in the USA. These rims fit the requirements perfectly and were shipped to me promptly.

Powder coating wasn’t great, lots of chipping inside that will eventually rust. Otherwise it’s heavy duty steel (41 lbs) and stamped USA.
Received the first wheel and didn’t quite fit so called Etrailer and reordered another wheel and it fits exactly like it should on my vehicle, Thsnks to all at Etrailer for the service and follow up emails

I have had the rim in service for a year and it still looks great. Paint is still bright even though the trailer sits out in the weather every day. Happy with the purchase and would purchase this product again.
